“Twiga House”, endowed with a 360° view, is a two-storey house situated at the top of a coral tower. With the renting of the house we offer services carried out by staff members that will improve the quality of your stay, taking care of the house. The sea and islands found in front of the residence have been classified by the UNESCO. Tides are important characteristics on this side of Kenya, the whole cycle of the tide is visible and fills the view. The vivid colors in flowers rejoice the spirit and the sand is smooth and soft as flour, and the sky, the sky is shower of stars. Hemingway once said: “All I wanted to do was get back to Africa. We had not left it, yet, but when I would wake in the night I would lie, listening, homesick for it already...” This is the sensation you have in this marvelous place. The hospitality of the people touches the soul of who arrives and who stays.
My passion is traveling, to discover cultures different from my own. Watamu is a place on which I have decided to plant some roots, a place in which I want to come back in the years to come. The colors and the sensations of this place are unique. Watamu is optimal for many water sports, including Kite surf, close to the residence. It is also possible to play golf, tennis, and to scuba dive. There are famous fishing trips and competitions. There are doctors and hospitals in proximity. And various events in restaurants and bars take place during the week.
“Twiga House” is 3km away from Watamu. Supermarkets, bars, restaurant and banks are reachable by walking on the beach or on the street, or on famous transportations called tuk tuk or baggige (a motorcycle), it is also possible to get a taxi if reserved in advance. Day trips to explore the flora and fauna of the land can be organised. These include trips to the mangroves, safaris (the closest being the day trip to Tzavo Est), the snake farm, the Gedi ruins, mida creek and the Malindi Marina Park. Watamu is considered an expanding international tourist center.
