A very beautiful hotel with great potential. Everything feels new: modern furniture, stylish rooms, and well-designed public areas. Overall, the property looks fresh and aesthetically pleasing. However, it was surprising to notice some finishing issues for a brand-new 5-star hotel — small paint imperfections, uneven edges, and areas that look unfinished. In the spa area (hammam), the pool entrances were loose and unstable, which is not only unattractive but also potentially unsafe. This definitely needs attention. The biggest highlight of our stay was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and clearly doing their best — and thanks to them, we still had a very positive overall experience. Food quality was very good across the restaurants — everything we tried was tasty. We would only suggest adding more seafood variety, considering the location and access to fresh seafood. The main downside for us was the ocean. During our stay, it was almost impossible to swim because of the large amount of seaweed. We understand it can be seasonal, but at least the beach area could be cleaned more regularly so guests can enjoy a clean walking zone. Overall, we had a good experience thanks to the amazing staff and the hotel’s strong concept. With some improvements in details and service, this place can truly become an excellent 5-star resort.

A wonderful place for a relaxing holiday and for those who want privacy. The breakfast selection is not very extensive, but you can definitely find everything you need. Dinner time is the most awaited - the food is especially delicious. A wonderful empty beach where you can walk in both directions calmly and safely.

The hotel is beautiful overlooking the ocean, when the tide is out you can go for walks on the beach. The staff is very helpful and kind We enjoyed relaxing you d the pool and the evening entertainment

This was hands down the best place to stay in Zanzibar! I was looking for somewhere quiet to relax with amazing sunset views, and this spot couldn’t have been more perfect. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and the chef even taught me some Swahili! The staff were incredible: always friendly, attentive, and going out of their way to make sure everything was just right. It’s the little things that really stood out. On my last day, I had a late-night flight and was going to miss breakfast. Without me even asking, they packed one up for me to take on my trip. That kind of thoughtfulness says everything about how much they care for their guests. I’d 100% recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat if I get the chance to visit Zanzibar again!

Breakfast was superb, location could not be beat. Just a few hundred meters from The Rock Restaurant and right on the beach. Lovely spot!

facilities were very nice and night mode was exceptional and swimming pool was great to use. Nicole the owner was very nice and friendly and she was taking care of all her visitors and making sure that they are enjoying their time. Definitly will go again when I visit Zanzibar.

Everything, the staff was so kind and helpful. The room was always clean. I would say the breakfast was excellent every day. We had great fruits like mango, banana, pineapple, passion fruit, all the local fruits. Quite an experience.

The pool was an absolute delight, a perfect spot to relax and soak in the serene surroundings. The rooms were spotless, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Being close to both modern and local restaurants added convenience and variety to our stay, while the availability of guides at the gate made exploring Zanzibar effortless. The complimentary breakfast at Mia Hotel is unbelievable. It’s not just a meal; it’s a culinary experience that sets the perfect tone for the day. From freshly prepared dishes to a wide variety of options, every bite reflects the care and expertise of the hotel’s talented chef, Mudryk. It was one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had, and it’s included in the already affordable price – an incredible value! One of the most unforgettable aspects of our trip was the people of Zanzibar and Tanzania. They are some of the most lovable, kind, and welcoming people we have ever encountered. Their warmth, generosity, and genuine hospitality touched our hearts and made our trip truly special. The staff at Mia Hotel exemplified this spirit of kindness and dedication. Azad, the manager, is a standout professional who amazed us with his ability to handle every task we entrusted to him with precision and care. Sihan, another manager, showed the same level of commitment and attentiveness. Michael, a humble and incredible individual, won us over with his kindness and wonderful personality. Adolf, Ramson, Judith, Philip, and all the staff – were beyond words, consistently going above and beyond to make us feel at home. A special shoutout to Mudryk, the chef, whose culinary expertise left us speechless.

We loved everything about this place. We had a beachfront bungalow which was so cozy and comfortable. Amazing view of the ocean and you can hear the waves throughout the night even with windows shut. It’s a quiet area so all you can hear is the waves. The resort itself is clean, staff is super friendly and breakfast right by the beach in the morning is picturesque. We were met by the owner upon arrival which put us at ease and we felt very welcomed. 100% would stay here again !

The staff were extremely friendly. The all-inclusive rate proved excellent value for money with food and drinks of good quality. The facilities included two beaches and a beautiful pool.

Beatiful place directly on the beach

Excellent host-Ramona was very helpful and made sure we are comfortable. The campus is huge and open. Has a top terrace to chill out with a beer. Carlos was also great. He even washed our car which was very dusty(we went to beach and come back, surprise, the car was washed) Got the whole kitchen for ourselves. Got spices and even coffee powder from their kitchen. Beach was walking distance and a convenience store run by Masai near by who also exchanged $ for the same price as in city; villagers were not trying to exploit you. They all were friendly. Definitely liked the property and recommended.

Super clean, royal ambience, you feel like royalty because the staff treats you like one. The food was delicious and to die for! Chef Suneel came out to greet at every meal and took our requests personally. Lillian ensured our stay was well cared for, anything we needed she was more than happy to help. The breakfasts were amazing, new theme each day and they went above and beyond for everything. I felt like I was in paradise! I would not stay anywhere else but here.

Very welcoming staff - probably the best experience we had so far. Bungalow was nice & comfortable, good water pressure and non-salty. Upon arrival the bed was covered with flower pettles, which was much appreciated. Food in the restaurant was very good.

Beautiful tropical ambience and garden. Chilling on the balcony was such a blast! Actually two balconies. Nicely designed rooms. I totally loved the room of stay. Number 11, super cool! Everything clean. Hot shower. Internet was fine too. Good breakfast. Very pleasant and kind staff. Bicycles free to use. Beach is very near. It was a pleasure to stay in this place. Recommended.

Very good place to spend a week in a relaxing and comfortable way. Villa is great for a big company, with spacious rooms, designed to deliver the comfort and coziness to every minute you will spend inside. You have everything you may need. If you’d don’t - the stuff will solve our problem. And the famous The Rock restaurant is in 1 minute away.

This hotel is the definition of a hidden gem! Very calm, quiet, and understated yet a few minutes walk to the beach where you can watch the sunset. My room looked exactly like the pictures, which was great. I was a female solo traveller and the only guest at the time, but Angy and her staff were all very personable and helped me feel comfortable. They helped me with my transport needs and various requests without hassle. If you want a place to unplug yet have easy access to Michamvi, this is a great place to stay!

Great facilities, good equipped kitchen, silent aircon, great big space of the appartment , always hot water in shower, always electricity (powerfull generator and silent!), perfect fast internet wifi. Very good european standards, bravo to the owner!!!!!! wonderfull location you just jump from the balcony into ocean.... Absolutely great staff and the charming sweet house keeping girl, ohhhhh

I arrived quite late on my first night and found a perfectly prepared room waiting for me. I immediately felt at home. And finally a firm mattress! Everything is very clean. There are so many thoughtful little details everywhere: water and juice in the room, a fan control right next to the bed, and power sockets and light switches placed exactly where you need them (this is for room 7). The pool and the surrounding property are fantastic - a truly beautiful place to relax. The hosts are incredibly friendly and attentive in the best possible way. They seemed to read my every wish from my lips and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I would absolutely stay here again and can wholeheartedly recommend this place.

It was really amazing! The whole team made our stay absolutely unforgettable! And special thanks to the chef - all our meals were delicious, and he managed to cope with our bunch of allergies. At first the choice seemed limited, but they always have some cards up their sleeves - literally: you choose your lunch and dinner dishes from several positions on the card. And they had different cards for all our stay. The villa and the territory was always impeccably clean. The view from the rooftop terrace is beautiful. And yes, there was a telescope - a basic one, so I had some hard times setting it up, but quite enough to watch the lunar eclipse (lucky us). There are three dogs. We are cat persons, but we really loved them - they are so cute and well-behaved!
