Silvina is a wonderful host, just ask her and she will help you with anything. Very responsive to messages on WhatsApp. The hotel is so interesting and quiet. There is everything you need close by from laundry to produce to restaurants to pharmacies and more. The tourist section of La Boca is also very close and you are just two blocks from the famous La Bombonera stadium. If you happen to be as lucky as I was to see them play I highly recommend you do so. You are in good hands with Silvina, she will take great care of you!

Mario was super helpful and gave us a lot of tips of what to do around and how to commute in the city. The place is well located and near of loads of sight seens and bus stops, plus the metro in right in front of the building!! The bedroom was really spacious and the bathroom was always clean and was huge too.

At 60, single and gay, I had a wonderful stay at LG Y. Santos, one of the friendly owners, met me at the airport and whisked me straight to the hostel. The building has two steep flights of stairs – just a heads‑up, it’s a bit of a climb, so those with mobility concerns might want to plan accordingly. My private room was comfortable (not luxury, but just right), with a lovely view of an old church’s *steeple*, my own bathroom, daily cleaning, fresh towels, and a sunny balcony. The social vibe was the highlight: I mingled with fellow travelers on the sun deck, shared breakfast, and even enjoyed a few beers together. It felt like an instant community—nice folks to chat with, plenty of good conversation, and a fun gay atmosphere like you find at gay resorts. Leaving felt bittersweet; I felt like I’d found a new family. The Argentines’ warmth and resourcefulness, despite limited resources compared to the U.S., left a deep impression. I left LG Y inspired to travel more and grateful for the kindness I experienced.

We loved our stay here. Communication was excellent—questions were answered very quickly via WhatsApp, and they were very accommodating with our early arrival. The place is super clean, modern, and feels new. The location in San Telmo is fantastic, with great restaurants right in front of the door and many more just a few minutes’ walk away.
