We wanted to stay in an historical setting in the heart of Ballarat. It was interesting to see the buildings from the Gold Rush time that occurred in Australia. Very nice architectural details from the 19th century.

Beautiful home with 3 guest bedrooms. We had the private bathroom which was nice. Bed was very comfortable. Leon provided everything needed. Breakfast was continental but lots of variety and fresh fruit. Enjoyed conversations with other guests. Highly recommended.

Debbie and Lee are masters at the art of hospitality. They make their guests feel, not just welcomed but valued and cared for. Any small request will be met with enthusiasm and exceeds expectation. From the delicious breakfast in the magical dining tram to the fascinating collection of books, there is much to explore. The alpacas are delightful companions and I was blessed to watch baby Plovers hatch. Even the birdlife know Tall Tales is a safe and nurturing wonderland. Thank you Debbie and Lee for making the world a better place. You are not just running a business you are restoring people’s faith in humanity and the sometimes fading art of true hospitality.
