B&Bs in Franklin

Location was perfect as we were attending Cygnet Folk Festival. A chance to escape the noise and busyness of the festival and to recuperate for the next day. Beautiful old home. Large room and equally large comfortable bed. Hostess made us feel at home and always available for any questions.

Coco was an amazing host who went above and beyond to make our stay special. Her Lodge has old-world charm yet has all the comforts we come to expect. The room was tastefully fitted out with a lovely bathroom. The lodge has a lovely shared space and the continental breakfast was great. Extremely well located for exploring the Huon Valley, Hastings Caves and Hot Springs, Tahune Airwalk and is only 40 minutes to the Kettering ferry terminal to spend the day on Bruny Island. Highly recommended.

Excellent communication. Also Michelle went out of her way to accommodate everything we needed to have a successful stay with my neurodivergent relative.

The hosts Maria and Wayne were wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. Would go back there again.

Host, room, location, garden, views

Excellent breakfast, early morning service exceptional. Lovely stay.

I booked a very impromptu trip, but felt I arrived to what I imagine an Italian summer home would be like! The interior styling with linen and brass fixtures elevated the room, and the high ceilings made it feel even bigger. I felt grateful to have lived in the SW to be able to enjoy the experience of the ethereal stay at Walton House. For those travelling to explore the Huon Valley or South West: Walton's House location is superb for a day trip to Tahune/Hartz Mountain, and close but far enough to the shops and restaurants in Huonville. Thank you Walton House for sharing your creation with us!

We loved The Chapel. It sits on a hill overlooking the Huon River with great views all round and only a few minutes from Cygnet. It is a very private place surrounded by paddocks which were great for wandering in. The fire place was fantastic for the couple of cooler nights we had and the views from the cauldron bath tub were amazing. The hosts communicated everything we needed to know and we were very lucky to receive a few goodies, most of which we used on the stay. We would definitely stay again.

Charming historical house in very good condition. The hosts were wonderfully accommodating, provided a great breakfast, and a fascinating historical tour of the adjacent hop kiln. Highly recommended.
