Really an absolutely fantastic stay. We arrived a bit late and were greated by our lovely host who provided us with a very warm welcome. The room was superb - it's spacious, very clean, offers a very comfortable bed and is just absolutely cozy with drinks (even alcohol!) stocked and available with no extra fee. Contrary to other places, the host offers both a "general breakfast" and breakfast of your choice, which she then prepares at a time of your choosing. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and vastly superior to most hotels/b&bs we'ved stayed at. Both owners made us feel very welcome and basically like we were relatives in for a visit. They were generous, friendly, fun to be around - basically the best place we've ever stayed at. Oh and there's also a very friendly little chap called "Charles" with four paws and an affinity for being petted.

Our host, Clare, was a good communicator and was most accommodating when we asked if we could arrive in the evening rather than late afternoon. Her home is a beautifully renovated barn, located on a quiet road. Our rooms were very comfortable, and Clare cooked and served a full English breakfast at the time of our request (using the eggs from her own chickens!).

Definitely plan to return! I was made to feel like a special guest staying in someone’s family home. So welcoming, everything needed in the room and bathroom. The farm shop and catering options are excellent. Great location and a wonderful find!

I have stayed here before and despite the accommodation being basic, it met my needs ( a bed for the night). The rooms are always spotlessly clean and tea /coffee supplies are in generous measures. Its very quiet during the evening and has a lovely canal side beer garden. The owner is so welcoming and friendly and has never once let me down. The welcome received is always a warm one

A comfortable and cosy room with a private bathroom, not en suite, but right opposite. Everything I needed for an overnight stay. The adjoining cafe has a good variety of breakfast choices and there's a charming farm shop to stock up for the onward journey.
