B&Bs in Sendai

This guesthouse had the cleanest bathroom I've seen so far, and was exceptionally comfortable. The room and facilities were perfect and satisfied all my needs. Over and above this, the host, Miki, was an absolute delight! So were the other guests present. The atmosphere was very homely and I really felt as though I was staying over with family or friends, even though I was travelling alone. I would love to go back the next time I visit the area.

The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the staff with warm smiles, and I immediately knew this was going to be a wonderful guesthouse. The rooms and common areas have a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. One thing I especially loved was the handmade room signs and decorations left by previous travelers, which add a unique charm and make the place even more special. This was one of the most comfortable and enjoyable guesthouses I have ever stayed in. It is very easy to connect with other guests. Even though I visited on weekdays, I ended up spending time with around 4 to 10 people, sharing drinks, going for walks, and enjoying great conversations together. The staff were also very proactive in taking photos for guests, which helped create and preserve wonderful memories of the trip. The owner used to be a chef, and if you ask, they can prepare dinner for you. I highly recommend it. Being able to enjoy local dishes made with ingredients purchased locally was one of the highlights of my stay. The guests come from many different backgrounds and countries. During my visit, around 20–30% of the guests were Japanese. I would absolutely love to stay here again.

It's a little hard to find at first, but all you hear is nature. Domomo barely had a signal, and Softbank was not much better. Next to the river, what a relaxing sound. Best night of sleep in years, if not decades. There are two dogs so if you are allergic, do not go. They are friendly and full of love and might I say, spoiled! My partner is Japanese and he said this experience is authentic. Steve is very personable and welcoming. Note: I believe up to 10 guests can be housed (verify with Steve to be sure).
