We highly recommend Nilowin Glenanore Guesthouse!!! We had such a lovely stay there! It was recommended from a friend and it surely didn’t disappoint! The family that runs it are super nice and helpful. Breakfast was amazing - the yummiest egg hopers we’ve had in Srilanka. The room was lovely with a great view. And what we enjoyed most - was their cooking class!! They’ve created a lovely, homely kitchen where the cooking class happens. Very informative and fun cooking class. We truly enjoyed it. Our three daughters got involved in everything we were preparing and everything was delicious!!! Thank you so much! Id be happy to come back tomorrow :)

Genuinely warm Sri Lankan hospitality combined with breathtaking world-class views. Waking up above the clouds is something I will never forget. Truly an exceptional property.

This is our second time in Haputale. This time we chose a wonderful modern hotel, not far from the Adisham monastery. For my wife and me, this place is one of the best in Sri Lanka. Beautiful nature around, where you can climb the mountains and walk among the tea plantations. No crowds of tourists like in Ella, you can only see tea pickers and local women with bundles of firewood on their heads. We had a very nice room with a large balcony, huge floor-to-ceiling windows and a fantastic view of the mountains and lakes. The visibility from the window is more than 50 km. There is a table in the room to work on the computer. The hotel offers excellent breakfasts and dinners. The choice of dishes is simply huge, you don’t often see this in most hotels in Sri Lanka. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks to Hashan that everything is perfectly organized and working, for his willingness to help in any situation. The hotel left the best impressions, we will definitely come back again

Clive and Chryshanthie gave me the best hospitality i’ve ever had. They made sure I had everything I needed and even more. Clive and his wife are pure hearted people with generous stories to share. They will let you enter their house like you’re a family member of them. They are truly welcoming. And please try Clive’s food, it’s one of my best meal of this trip. We ended up paying a bit extra to upgrade our room. Large comfortable bed and pillows. Good spacious bathroom and shower with hot water. Use of a sitting area adjacent the room. We had a great Sri Lankan dinner with lots of different dishes as well. Good breakfast though spicy.

The atmosphere of the location

Lovely place a little away from town with the best family meal I have eaten in Sri Lanka!!! Enjoyed talking with the hosts, and playing games with the family in the evening. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Room was as advertised and offered some stunning views. Railway Line is just below. Very helpful family and accommodating.

The owner of the hotel, Imamdeen, was extremely nice and friendly. We arrived at the hotel late evening after all the restaurants were closed, and he generously offered to cook us dinner with a welcome tea. He supplied us with extra items/services to make our stay more welcome such as extra blankets and also helped us find an honest-priced scooter rental. His breakfast was amazing! We enjoyed so much the delicious local breakfast made by him and his wife. The room was cozy with direct access to the rooftop, so we were able to see the sunrise with a 360 degree view every morning. His family were very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this hotel and believe the family will help make you feel welcome.

What an incredibly kind & welcoming family! Their hospitality was exemplary:-) They were very accommodating of our vegetarian diet and even provided a hearty breakfast at 5.30 am so we could get an early start to Horton Plains! They are located 50 min from the Ohiya entrance (the less crowded entrance), so great as a base for the World's End hike. The guesthouse is absolutely spotless! The wifi worked very well!
