We ended up being upgraded to a waterfront cabin but regardless of where you stay in Reine the scenery there is absolutely gorgeous. We even caught the aurora!

Very nice room and common areas. Multiple tables and sitting areas for guests even when the breakfast area was closed. Lost of good views. The breakfast was very good. The room was clean and comfortable. Easy to find and close to two bus stops.

This is a beautiful and authentically renovated 150 year old Fisherman's cabin (rorbu) directly on the water and far from the tourist crowd. It is a real rorbu experience in contrast to many of the 'rorbu' being rented to tourists that are liItle more than overpriced red cabins. is located in a tiny village reached by a long dirt road. The village is being carefully restored, preserving the history and character of the buildings while offering modern amenities. The cabin actually has its own shower and washbasin. However the toilet is outside in an outhouse--a common pattern for Scandinavian hytte. There is also a communal kitchen for cooking.. It seems that there might be some additional renovations planned for the rorbu:a small kitchen in the cabin and indoor toilet one day.

This is a gem of a property! The location - right on the beach - is heavenly. My cabin was beautifully appointed - coffee maker, cups, plates, utensils and cookware were all exactly perfect. They even had a cutting board. The bed was sublimely comfortable! It was so lovely to fall asleep to the gently sound of the water. The living area was cozy, in the best sense of the word, with windows that looked out on the water. Finally, I appreciated how available and responsive the owner of the property was; I had to make a small change to my reservation and he was fantastic to work with.
