Andrea was very welcoming, showing us around our unit and the property. She helped us with directions to our kayaking adventure the next morning. She also invited us to take a shower in their outdoor shower after we checked out, even providing towels for our use.

Very nice apartment in town and a short walk to the beach! The hosts Sharon and Alan keep the place super clean and comfortable, they even provide beach towels! They actually give you sparkling margaritas which is a nice touch.

You couldn’t find a better location. A short walk to the cafe, the pizzeria, the beach and cathedral grove walk.

Close to the action and beach. Cafe, shops, brewery etc. Plenty of room and quiet away from road noise. Outside deck area under umbrella.

The owner, Erin, warmly greeted us upon our arrival and gave us useful information about the area. The studio apartment was very clean, new and beautifully appointed. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, general store, and the spectacular beach. Erin is a body work specialist in neuromuscular and myofascial techniques. I was very grateful to benefit from her expertise after a very long 19 hour airplane journey to New Zealand.

Great location, extremely welcoming and very quiet

Phil and sue are the consummate hosts. The property is impeccably clean. Cookies and sweets upon our arrival. The American breakfast puts most restaurants and hotels to shame.

The whole experience staying was great. Rodger and Diana have a special place to say the least.

We are a family of three who stayed for five days during one of the wettest storms imaginable, and despite the wild weather, our stay was excellent. The accommodation was quiet, comfortable, and very well appointed. Thoughtful touches like a pod coffee machine and even shovels provided for Hot Water Beach made it feel like a real home away from home. The hosts were outstanding. They were incredibly reassuring throughout the storm, keeping us well informed about safety and local road conditions, which made a big difference and helped us relax. We strongly recommend this accommodation and would happily return… preferably with a bit more sunshine next time!

Exceptional place to stay. Right on the water and the ferry is a stones throw away over to Whitianga. The rooms are great with comfy beds. Theres a walking track close by as well and free parking is offered. The owners are welcoming and have great advice on where to go in the area.

Very friendly hosts, well organised and helpful. Nice clean apartment. Very peaceful.
