Relax in this beautifully designed 30sqm contemporary studio, just moments from the beach. Featuring warm timber tones, crisp whites and a calming coastal aesthetic, the open-plan space includes a kitchenette, breakfast bar, lounge, queen bed and designer bathroom. The kitchenette is equipped with an airfryer, microwave, electric frypan, Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, toastie machine and all the crockery and utensils you'll need for your stay. Enjoy the convenience of a washing machine, outdoor clothesline, and a spacious covered deck flowing onto a sunny lawn surrounded by fruit trees making it the perfect spot for your morning coffee or an evening drink. During the winter months, you're welcome to use the brazier (firewood available on request). Please note there is a total fire ban during summer. Direct access to the reserve and beach can be made down the side of our home and out the front gate. We have a paddle board that you are welcome to use off the beach in front of our house - lifejackets are available by request. We only have a small general store in Cooks Beach and it closes around 5.30pm so if you require groceries you would be best to get some in either Tairua or Whitianga, depending on which way you come to us. There are not many eateries open during the winter months so it’s best to come prepared with food or be prepared to head over to Whitianga on the ferry for dinner. We are a family of 6 (although only 3 of us reside here) and love entertaining, camping, going out in the boat in summer and most of all having fun....we will generally be around to help with any questions you have and make can suggestions as to the beautiful areas you can visit during you stay in the Mercury Bay.

Cooks Beach is a beautiful family orientated rural beachside settlement, winter months are very quiet and relaxing and in the summer months it becomes a hive of activity with holiday makers, walkers, kids biking the streets and boats and tractors coming and going - the best of both worlds. Our local general store is just a very short walk away and stocks the essentials, but it closes around 5:30pm. If you're planning to cook during your stay or need a larger grocery shop, we recommend picking up supplies in Tairua or Whitianga before you arrive. During the quieter winter months, dining options in Cooks Beach are limited, so it's a good idea to come prepared with food or plan an evening out in Whitianga. It's an easy trip - just a 3-minute drive to the ferry, followed by a scenic 5-minute ferry ride across the harbour.
