Lovely accomodation, has everything you need. Host very welcoming and helpful. Excellent value for the price. Bed was super comfy, Smart TV was good, kitchen was nice but I didn't end up cooking so didn't use the kitchen, bathroom/shower were really nice as well (underfloor heating in bathroom was a bonus). Would definitely stay again!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Tawa Retreat! Everything was available for a like at home experience. Lynn welcomes you to her pretty suburban house. Like most places in Wellington it’s up a steep hill with winding, narrow roads. The driveway is steep and off a 4-way intersection. Parking your car in the car port involves a bit of wiggling, although at least at the top of the driveway you’re on the flat. The guest accommodation is a spacious and beautiful attic with lovely views. There are 2 toilets and a bathroom, as well as a lounge and facilities to make a hot drink. She provides a lot of choice for breakfast, including fresh fruit. We had some interesting and useful conversations with Lynn, in preparation for a business meeting I had in Wellington: she has been plugged in to the political scene for a long time.

The property is very comfortable and had everything I needed. Having a full size freezer allowed me to get some ice cream. It was surprisingly roomy on the inside especially because it was just me.
