Lynn welcomes you to her pretty suburban house. Like most places in Wellington it’s up a steep hill with winding, narrow roads. The driveway is steep and off a 4-way intersection. Parking your car in the car port involves a bit of wiggling, although at least at the top of the driveway you’re on the flat. The guest accommodation is a spacious and beautiful attic with lovely views. There are 2 toilets and a bathroom, as well as a lounge and facilities to make a hot drink. She provides a lot of choice for breakfast, including fresh fruit. We had some interesting and useful conversations with Lynn, in preparation for a business meeting I had in Wellington: she has been plugged in to the political scene for a long time.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Tawa Retreat! Everything was available for a like at home experience. Comfortable beds, everything clean, kitchen had all the essentials, great WiFi, complimentary coffee tea and milk. Washer and Dryer are an amazing bonus, very appreciative. The place was absolutely stunning. It looked like it had been newly renovated. The bathroom was new. The paint was new and everything else; so it was a very pleasant stay. Our only regret is that we had to leave early to catch the ferry so we missed our breakfast that John was serving.

Lovely accomodation, has everything you need. Host very welcoming and helpful. Excellent value for the price. Bed was super comfy, Smart TV was good, kitchen was nice but I didn't end up cooking so didn't use the kitchen, bathroom/shower were really nice as well (underfloor heating in bathroom was a bonus). Would definitely stay again!
