Minutes from the Ferry — A Quiet Harbour Haven with Homemade Cookies Just a short drive or bus ride from the Ferry terminal, this is your peaceful base for exploring Wellington — with panoramic harbour and hill views, and cookies always on hand. Getting Here & Around • Close to the Ferry terminal and State Highway • Off-street parking (a genuine Wellington luxury!) • Bus stop at the bottom of the driveway • 15 minutes to the train • 10-minute walk to shops, cafés, a pub, takeaways, and a pharmacy • 15-minute bush walk on your doorstep Please note: the front door is reached via a flight of outdoor steps from the driveway (handrail provided). Inside, the bedrooms are up a further internal staircase (carpeted, with handrails). Not suitable for those with mobility limitations. A separate path to the back deck makes wheeling luggage in easier. The Space Two large bedrooms (built within the last twelve years): • King Room – ensuite with shower and toilet • Twin Room (King Single beds) – separate toilet, shares the ensuite shower Both open onto a shared sitting area surrounded by contemporary New Zealand art, with panoramic views of the harbour and surrounding hills. Breakfast, Wellington-Style A generous continental spread with homemade granola, fresh sourdough, and seasonal fruit — plus a steady supply of our homemade cookies, because some things should never run out. Dietary needs catered for - just let us know in advance. Good to Know Perfect for couples, friends, solo travellers, adult families, and remote workers. Lynn loves sharing her city and country with you providing tips and suggestions. You'll see that she is a lover of art and food (a keen baker), reading, gardening. Widely travelled often to interesting parts of the world, she understands what its like to travel for pleasure and work. In 2023 she mastered the art of carry on luggage - a fete she had not thought possible - admittedly it was travel to the European summer! With a consulting business she usually works remotely in the change and people space.

Located in a quiet safe suburb with easy access to the city, ferry(the terminal you can see from your room), neighbouring hills and the local shops its ideal for those with a car or wanting to get away from the CBD in a quiet peaceful suburban environment and handy to the CBD by public transport.(bus (stop just opposite the driveway) or train). We get great views of the harbour and surrounding hills - which means we are on a hill with a steep driveway to access the house. You can walk 15-20 minutes to the hills and take a walk up to the top of Mt Kaukau- it may test your fitness or not! Khandallah village is around 10 minute walk away and it has cafes, a pub, take aways (Chinese, Indian and Pizza) and a supermarket. There is also a dry cleaners, chemist, butchers and womens clothing and gift shops and the very NZ, diary open to 8pm each night.
