We provide tea, coffee, milk, and cereal for your convenience. A self-serve continental breakfast is provided for guests and is served in the room rather than being a cooked breakfast. Breakfast items include eggs (for you to prepare yourselves if you wish), fruit, cereals, and other breakfast condiments. I value the tranquility and natural beauty of this unique coastal location, where each day begins with the simple pleasure of a good cup of coffee and the sound of the sea. Together with my daughter Rebecca, I look forward to hosting guests and providing a comfortable, relaxing getaway experience here at Makara Beach.

Come unwind at Makara Beach, where you can enjoy a stroll along the coastline and take in the fresh sea air. The rugged coast offers stunning views across the Cook Strait, with glimpses of the South Island, especially beautiful at sunset! If the weather turns rainy, the local boat shed is a great spot to duck into and enjoy a relaxed game of pool. For those wanting more adventure, tackle the Makara Walkway loop track — a rewarding 3–4 hour walk with spectacular coastal and hilltop views 😉
