Everything, kitchen facilities are great. They have coffee both instant one and grounded beans as well and french press. There’s so much of free space, so you don’t need to stay on your bed. Amenities are available.

This stay is perfect. Multiple clean and comfortable toilets and showers. A big kitchen with all you need to cook and enjoy a meal. A dining room with multiple tables for guests. A front room with views of the water. A beautiful outdoor space. Easy laundry and lines to hang items. The bed was comfortable and the sound of the water was amazing to sleep to. The check in was smooth and staff was friendly.

Wonderful old Victorian building, loved the high ceilings. Good kitchens, quiet and free laundry was a nice bonus. Was in a six bed dorm and although everyone kept different hours everyone was considerate of the others in the room. Also well located to explore Wellington. Note - The number 2 bus drops you off just up the hill from the hostel if you arrived by ferry from the south island.

First of all, the location is awesome. You can hang out on the balcony, looking at the mountains forever. Next, the owner, Shaun, is a very approachable and chill guy. On top of that, when I arrived there were some people living there for a longer time. These were the most amazing people I met so far on my trip, very social and helpful and fun to hang out with. It felt like a big family, even tho I was only there for 3 days. I honestly wish I could stay here longer.

I'm going to miss the Marion so much! Best hostel I've been while in NZ (and probably anywhere else!?). Super comfy bed, great staff, cool common rooms and kitchen, everything always clean! Free bike rentals! It's a great place both if you want to meet new people or if you want to be on your own. And a great place to start exploring Welly! 😊

Best hostel I've stayed in. Amazing converted building with lots of different areas for socialising, sitting quietly, cooking, etc. All the facilities you expect from a decent hostel and more. Like hot drinks freely available, towels provided, curtains on bunk beds.
