B&Bs in Troia

I had been staying in the heart of other Portuguese cities for my entire stay in the country, so it was nice to find this beautiful villa tucked in the lush landscape of the hills just outside of town. It was close enough to walk to town (downhill) but inexpensive enough to Uber back up whenever I was done for the day. The accomodations were a perfect balance between roomy and cozy: there was a separate living and bedroom, the bedroom had a warm comfortable bed with mattress heater for cozy nights and the living room had a daybed couch for sunny naps and sketching during the day. I loved the local art on the walls and the cork furniture. The kitchen was stocked with coffee on arrival and large enough to self-sustain if cooking at home during the visit. I arrived early on international time and was gratefully allowed an early check-in. Thank you Maria! Maria's team on her property are also so very helpful and enjoyable, Andreia took me around sightseeing during my stay and it was the most memorable day!! The surrounding area was very safe and beautiful, but I appreciated that in the more remote countryside, there was a gate around the property that guests used with a fob for entry and leaving. The views were outstanding, you could see from the room the vast seascape which was just lovely! The property had lemon trees and flowers even in the winter it was quite a lovely garden!

Such a clean, modern and artistic boutique hotel. This place makes you feel like you are someone special. The reception (Ines) gave us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. As well, It’s in the perfect location for walking to everything. You can’t go wrong. Book it.

It is located in the city center of the city, in the close proximity of the port, from where you can take the ferry. You find parking places on the main street in front of the accomodation or on the side streets. It's cheaper to park on a side street. Although located on a main street, the place is good isolated, we didn't hear much of the traffic. The place was clean, the beds comfortable. The bathroom clean, shampoo and shower gel available.In the kitchen is a little fridge, a little delta coffee machine, you have to buy the capsules. @

Miguel is an exceptional host! During the power outage, he made sure that we were okay and kept us updated with the news.

Welcoming host who organized a fabulous boat trip to see the dolphins, wonderful decor, good breakfasts, access to warm drinks and snacks 24/7, close to good restaurants and walking distance to the Marina.

Very clean and comfortable room. Nice design. Lovely washroom. Breakfast was plentiful and well thought out.

Amazing location, in the heart of a pedestrian zone, with a beautiful little croissant shop down below and right by the church so you can see and hear the church bells. The room is small, but so cozy, with a beautiful and fantastic bed and two big doors that open right up. We loved our stay here in this special town.

Beautifully renovated building with huge spacious rooms. Centrally located. Easy to gain access and quick responses from staff.

Really friendly staff to meet me. Excellent with the shared facilities, small balconies on top. Great to have airco as it was 37C. You have to be prepared to go up some steep stairs to the 1st and 2nd floor. No problem for people with normal mobility. You are very close to the center. There's a few alleys around that may be perceived desolate between downtown and the place. Not a problem for me. If you are in shape, rent a bike at Lime and Limao and cycle up the Serra da Arrabida, or take the bike on the small car ferry to Troia and cycle down the relatively quiet roads to Grandola or Melides, amazing Alentejo! <3 (ps since the place is upstairs, bikes are not really welcome indoors ..)
