PortugalLovely guesthouse with spacious outdoor areas and lovely indoor spaces also. Our host was welcoming and responsive. The common areas are beautifully decorated, and our host gave many, many recommendations for nearby dining. The house is a 5 minute walk from a small grocery store, and there is a shared kitchen area if you want to prepare a meal or snacks. We stayed in the writer's room and loved it. Our bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the outdoor balcony was lovely. We awoke both mornings to the sound of birds singing-- it is a beautiful area and perfectly situated for walks in nature and the surrounding areas. We LOVED our stay and hope to return again.

We were hiking the Camino de Fatima, so we did not have a car. Maria offered chauffeur services. She drove us to the grocery store, and drove us from Fatima to Alcobaça for a reasonable fee.
The accommodations are basic but adequate.

ColombiaLovely and peaceful place.. we booked 2 nights and extended after. Ana and Luis made us feel at home and provided us with everything we needed. Perfect place to stay if you want to visit the UNESCO sites of Alcobaça and Batalha or Fatima Church. Also, I think it is a great place for peregrines doing the Camino de Santiago.
