Really beautiful and remote - exactly what we were looking for in a quiet retreat. We came during the winter so didn't avail ourselves of certain amenities like the pool. Our unit had every comfort available and areas like the kitchen were cleverly designed.

Everything about this Casa which is less a hotel and more of a home was wonderful. We felt so welcome and each staff member was caring and well informed and seemed genuinely interested is answering any questions we might have had. Room and bed were very well done and breakfast was very good. The best value for the money one could possibly have.

Amazing location, amazing people, amazing experience

Our host was bubbling with warm enthousiasm over the 17th century farm house he restored, preserving as much of the old timbers and charm as possible. His attention to detail and his desire to make sure we were happy and comfortable made the stay a highlight of our trip.

The location in a remote Aldeia do Xisto was the main attraction

The property is in really good condition.The kitchen is fully equipped. Friendly staff. Hope we will come back soon.

The location was incredible and the property was charming

In the middle of such an interesting village. Truly one of a kind. Our house was 2 bdrms, 2 1/2 bathrooms. Owner’s daughter brought us breakfast for the morning and showed us around the village!

Warm and welcoming Maria treats you like family. Setting is on peaceful property in the countryside outside Lousa. We stayed in the separate small cottage which was comfortable and would highly recommend. Quiet and a nice change from busy Lisbon. Exceptional breakfast each morning with fresh figs picked by Maria and homemade jams she makes from fruits grown on property along with pastries, fruits, meat and cheese; selection of breads, etc. Great value for the money. Note Maria only accepts cash--no credit cards.

I liked the high tech lighting, the efficient use of space, the wood stove which we used to take the chill off. The bed was comfortable.

Wonderfully secluded. Wonderful staff. Only a few minutes drive from the restaurants and bar in Talasnal

The space was perfect for our family of four, and the hosts were terrific and responsive with communication. Apartment is located in a quiet location within a few minutes walk of the center of town, and we loved the pellet stove at night when the temperature is dropped. (We stayed here in December).

Super clean and comfortable apartment, lots of free parking space, great location if you have a car.

The style is nice, it has all you need in terms of appliances, good shower, smooth towels and clean bed sheets.

Easy, not long check in and the host Luis was very approachable and kind. Thank you!
