Cheap hotels in Barú

I loved the cabin, it was perfect and easy to keep clean. The host was very attentive and always available to guide us on things to do there. Dario and Johanna were super helpful and wonderful hosts. They always watched our cabin while we were out and in general they were always watching over us making sure we felt safe and making sure our needs were met. They even went as far to recommend restaurants that were cheaper for us. We had a fantastic stay and they played an important role in making this trip great a d enjoyable.

This project goes beyond being just a hotel. It is a community-focused eco-project with the goal of restoring native nature (mangrove and coral reefs), and simultaneously empowering the local community through sustainable eco-tourism and supportive initiatives.

Such a cool place to stay! Really good food, great accommodations and friendly staff! Loved laying in the hammocks during the day after snorkeling!

The place is amazing. Arguably the best location in the entire island. The sea and the sunset were just magical. Also the staff was amazing. Special mention to Felix! He took us around the town to get to know how locals live in the island. He made our stay a lot better!

We completely loved the place. Everything about it was awesome. The staff were really sweet and helpful. The room with sea view was amazing, has a great hammock and it’s great to hang out in as well as the front yard of the hotel overlooking the sea and the pier. The water there is good enough to snorkel. Just keep in mind that the island’s modality is to stick to one spot and you can mostly move by boat. But this is the right place to be, even though it’s small, it is very enjoyable. There’s even a courtesy tour around the islands, do not hesitate to go!

Loved it! Amazing place, had a wonderful time at Tijereto. The coral reef is a must. Great food, and service.

Everything was good. We were really confortable there.

The location is perfect, we were away from the overly crowded party areas and got to see many birds and iguanas as a result. The staff were lovely and super helpful. The swimming dock next to the property was a highlight. The snorkeling tour was outstanding, a once in a lifetime experience. They offered meals at the property and the food was delicious, such a treat after hiking and swimming all day. A place like this restores anyone’s faith in what sustainable tourism can be like.

We had a great stay at Palma Plata! Fernando and Erica made our stay especially special with their hospitality and helpful recommendations. It felt like we were staying at a family's home and we loved how the property is surrounded by nature.
