Cheap hotels in Playa Blanca

Great little section of beach away from the main crowded area. Restaurant is tasty and fairly priced. Rooms very spacious.

We booked for 3 people. That gave us one towel. Mattress were thin and uncomfortable. Bathing was from a bucket. Breakfast was included, 1 scrambled egg, toast and coffee only choice.

Juan was very friendly and understanding. Recommended a lot of good places. Gave a nice detailed tour of the property and was very responsive when I had a question about the place.

The hospitality, how clean and comfy it was

I loved the whole experience. The attention from the owners and staff was outstanding. The rooms, the food, especially the food it was always served hot and delicious, they're lemonade was always on point cold and refreshing the valet there he was so attentive and always aware of what was needed. Solarium Beach Club is all operated by solar energy that was awesome. If you're interested in a camping experience on the beach, this is the place. We went as a couple, but it is very family oriented. My husband and I are planning to return next year. All we need to remember is to bring snacks in a small cooler. This was truly a camping on the beach experience. Thank you, Solarium Beach, for an awesome stay😍

The property wasn’t the greatest.

Great decoration style and ambient to stay safe and as home. El Mono and his wife are real super hosts. Great deal! the place is just as it appears on the app. Very responsive people and kind hosts. The place is gorgeous, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the ocean view is simply amazing. Worth to be there!

We were satisfied. Playa Blanca baru was better than we expected. We weren't hustled by anyone, the water was beautiful, Carlos was helpful, we were able to cook our own meal, and our "balcony"/sitting area with a sitting area, hammock, and the ocean was wonderful. We had no issue with using water for a shower, the bathrooms, we got an Indrive there for 50,000 and paid a guy the same amount leaving with some time/negotiation. We were able to boil water there to drink which was nice. Bring water as it is pricey. The sitting loungers on the sand were perfect. As every place there electricity from 6pm-6am and no wifi, and low cell service if any, but it was perfect for us.

excellent customer service by property owner! The pizzeria was great and dinner with other guests felt very homey and communal. Would highly recommend to couples and solo travelers who are used to facilities with only basic necessities but value for the price. I stayed in the double with a balcony and it was the most beautiful sunset view, luxury resort vibe!

Super sweet place, it feels very private & is located at a more calm part of the beach what we liked. Warm welcoming by the hosts, they offer some tours & the food is delicious!

The location is in playa tranquila, we taxi'd (use indriver or have the host help you with a taxi) from Manga in Cartagena for 71k COP (~1 hr drive). We walked from the parking lot along the beach for 20 mins to the Cabana where Manuel, the host, let us into our room hours early and prepared chairs and umbrellas for us. We were the only ones staying in one of the two rooms upstairs and it was great having hammocks and lounge chairs, amazing views and all to ourselves. I recommend swimming in the morning with a snorkel mask (he lent us some) before a lot of the fish hide from the boats! The food was delicious (you must try the coconut rice), in large quanities and affordable. He also helps arrange tours like an evening bioluminescent plankton tour (takes about 1 hr and was ~35k cop per person) and an afternoon snorkeling 4 islands tour (90k per person). He also arranged a boat to take us straight from his place to Cartagena at the end of our stay (40k per person). We had an amazing time there and would definitely go back!

I loved the cabin, it was perfect and easy to keep clean. The host was very attentive and always available to guide us on things to do there. Dario and Johanna were super helpful and wonderful hosts. They always watched our cabin while we were out and in general they were always watching over us making sure we felt safe and making sure our needs were met. They even went as far to recommend restaurants that were cheaper for us. We had a fantastic stay and they played an important role in making this trip great a d enjoyable.
