The staff were outstanding: warm, responsive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their attention to detail really made the stay feel special. Breakfast was excellent every morning — fresh, flavorful, and a great way to start the day. Overall, this hotel captured everything we got to love about Antigua: beauty, history, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!

This Eco Hotel in San Marcos is truly a gem! Surrounded by nature, every detail is thoughtfully designed to create a harmonious connection with the environment. They prioritize sustainability by using natural bathroom products to protect the sacred lake, just a minute's walk away. Starting my mornings with a swim in its tranquil waters made it the most serene place on earth. Supporting the local family who owns this property, honoring Mayan culture and the land, is a decision I highly recommend. The vegan cuisine served at the restaurant is not only delicious but also my favorite during my 2-week stay. I will miss this place dearly and look forward to returning next year. Amazingly scenic and comfortable lakefront room. The staff is very friendly and acommodating and the room has everything that you might need for a comfortable stay. You can take a boat right to the property so that you don't have to carry your bags a long way along the lakeside path. We stayed for New Year's Eve and the view of the fireworks displays from all the towns around the lake was exceptional.

Perfect location in San Marcos, a quick 10 minute walk to the main streets and right on the water. The song of birds, the gorgeous garden, the rising sun over the volcanoes, wow. Very comfortable room, like a little home away from home.

I love everything about this place. It truly feels like home. Don’t expect anything fancy—its charm lies in its rustic simplicity. You live in harmony with nature here. The people who run and manage the space are exceptional. Daniel is absolutely amazing—he makes sure every guest is well taken care of. Camille, who helps around, brings a gentle, feminine energy that softens and warms the space. Meeting the founder, Erik, is a wonderful bonus. I’m deeply grateful to all of them for creating and sharing this space with the community.

The host was absolutely amazing and so accommodating and kind! The property was clean and well-kept, and the views of the lake were incredible. The common area on the rooftop patio was a great place to hang out. And the hot shower was very appreciated.

I’ve stayed in many places traveling throughout Guatemala, and this spot in Tzununa felt the most like home. Loved the minimalist decor and peaceful vibe. The lake is only a minute away, the host was super responsive, and I felt very safe at night. Would definitely stay here again!

The property is just 50 days old when we visited , it’s a brand new construction. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable . There is a full shared kitchen if you want to cook . Manager and family lives in the property, so any help is available immediately.

I had an amazing time at EB5 Escape! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The property is beautifully maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. Every detail – from the art interiors to the peaceful surroundings with nature – made the stay feel extra special. The yoga platform was plus too for self-guided meditation.
