We made a last minute reservation when another accommodation did not work out. The kind host stayed past check-in time to greet us and show us to our room. The breakfast he prepared and delivered to our room the next morning was filling and delicious. Hardegg is an enchanting little place and JM apartments are wonderful!

The instructions for getting in to the house were clear and the locking/unlocking system was very comfortable and straight forward. In overall we loved it all, it was great. We had everything what was needed. All was very tastefully furnished, there was included also the staff for dogs, which was very sweet. The heater was on, when we arrived, which was very considerate, because weather became colder. There was also a good coffee machine with coffee beans by hand. Another lovely detail for our stay. Everything was perfectly clean. We had a lovely view from our apartment on the Hardegg castle. Everything was lovely.

This is an old castle with very big rooms and a large courtyard. The staff for checking in was sometimes hard to find but after a search we were able to check in. The breakfast was good with an assigned table based on your room number. The hotel is convenient to the downtown with its own parking lot--but it is a walk from the lot to the castle and there is no elevator to your room.

Very nice staff especially in the restaurant. Generous evening menu and very good breakfast. It is a good idea to choose half board lodging in Geras. Easy to park the car. Room functional, clean and lots of space for storage.

This village is situated in a unique location—in the gorge of the Thaya/Dyje River—and is surrounded by rocky forests. It’s the perfect choice for anyone looking to explore nature, go hiking, or simply recharge. It’s about an hour and a half by car from both Vienna and Brno.

The town is really small and doesn't offer much beside...

The town is really small and doesn't offer much beside hiking (within the Nationalpark Thayatal). There is also a swimming pool but it's quite far from the main attractions (the castle and the Thaya Bridge). There are not many restaurants, only one shop (combined with bakery) and most places only accept cash. Also not very walking friendly for a stroller (lack of pavement)
