Have been visiting Rauris for many years in both Winter and Summer and it never fails to deliver. It hasn't got the largest ski area but there are a good mix of runs and very little queueing for lifts. There are a good selection of places to eat and drink on the mountain as well as in the village itself with two decent size supermarkets. There are two ski schools of which we always use Adventure Ski Rauris as their prices are very reasonable and they have really nice staff from the girls on reception through to the ski/boot fitters and the instructors. A short drive away is the beautiful lakeside town of Zell Am See. Its not the rowdiest of villages but of you like a quieter resort this is the one for you.

We loved this area.

We loved this area. Especially trip to Glossglockner, Weisseee, Hollersbach, Mittersill indoor pool, Krimml waterfalls, Kitzlochklamm valley, Wildlife and adventure park in Ferleiten and Muzeum National park Worlds in Mittersill. We loved café Martin Kreuzer KG, Bäckerei. Using of public transport as part of Summer cards was really great...

Lovely, pretty village, been regular visitors for some years. Great skiing for beginners and families. Good facilities and shops. Skiing faciltiies close to the village and great ski rental and instructors (Skischule Maier).

Cute city, but lacks content. We were there for skiing in the winter months. Ski area is pretty small, just a few slopes. The city itself is very small and cute, but boring. There is no events or activities except skiing whatsoever. It also lacks restaurants and cafes in the city and at the skiing grounds as well. There are 2 middle sized grocery stores which is ok. It has beautiful nature and is very peaceful and quiet.

The village is rural and has a lovely rustic feel.

The village is rural and has a lovely rustic feel. If you have beginners in the group you need to know that the main ski area is separated from the nursery slopes by a cable car ride. If the whole group can ski blue runs or higher this would not be a problem but if you have to meet beginners at the bottom you need to factor in time to get back there. The resort is on the small side but v. busy during school holidays. The ski schools are excellent.

This resort was amazing for us.

This resort was amazing for us. Great modern and clean apartments, kitchen equipped with everything you need. Spa and pool area were lovely with stunning views and resting areas. Great service and help at front desk. We came in may and it was quiet and just perfect for us

Wonderful stay with home atmosphere, nice and kind staff,the best breakfast I have ever had with a great choice of fruit, vegetables,cheese, ham, eggs and everything, including local specialities. Rooms are big with balcony, clean and cosy. Hotel has a strategic position in the center close to ski slopes but also to the shopping possibilities. We will come back in summer ideal place for vacation.

The apartment is modernly furnished, and the view from the terrace of the mountains around Rauris, a beautiful fairytale village in the Rauriser golden valley, is breathtaking... The apartment provided us with a summercard, so we visited many attractions in the Hohe Tauern National Park

Well decorated house. Very spacious and located at high ground and near ski resort. The staff Mr. Owen was very kind and gave advise on weather conditions and nearby activities. I like the Owner has put effort to decorate the house including christmas trees to bring up the festive mood.
