The Exchange was by far the best of our stays in Tasmania. Gavin and Donna have beautifully renovated the gorgeous old building using materials from around the site. The majestic Huon Pine staircase leads up to the bedrooms and breakfast room. Breakfast is a vast selection of cereals, breads, yogurts, teas, fruit and herbal teas, instant and fresh coffee. Parking is on site too. Our bedroom was compact, quiet and super comfortable. You really don’t need anything other than a bed, a chair and a luggage table. Netflix is available too. The private bathroom is located just down the hall with quality shampoo, conditioner, handwash and bodywash and the MOST LUXURIOUS TOWELS ever. There are ensuite rooms available too and they are huge and not much more expensive. The bar, open certain evening, serving a great selection of Tassie beers and Tassie boutique gins (I had a fabulous tasting time 😊). Soo much old-world charm. Only 40 min drive to Launceston and 1 hour to Devonport makes The Exchange the perfect place for a stopover. Whilst you’re there visit Seahorse World, Platypus World and Beaconsfield Mine. Tasty Bite Indian across the road is great for tea and Jubilee Bakery for breakfast.

Beauty point was a peaceful, secluded little town with plenty of water in which to swim or on which to paddle. The platypus world and seahorse world and creation display were excellent activities which the kids really enjoyed as well as the adults. Without a boat, it’s not a place I could stay for two weeks, but it was certainly a lovely relaxing place to be for a few days.

Somewhat a hidden gem in the north and exceptional with lots of activities within and close to nature. We did 2 short hiking trails and saw lots of wildlife! The famous Tamar Valley is just 15-20 mins drive as well. The River Cafe is a must for brunch and coffee when in the area.

l liked the greenery, and lovely hedges, and quietness, i liked the friendliness. I liked the weather mostly the whole time, maybe just 7 days stay would of been better though.. it was November so too cold for me to swim, cause i come from Qld.. thanking you Mrs V. Miller. p.s. l would go again, but maybe get the larger cabin so i could have a bigger bed, and a washing machine inside, thanks very much for everything, V. Miller.

Lovely little village set in a beautiful area of Tasmania.

Lovely little village set in a beautiful area of Tasmania. As with small villages, there isn't much in the way of shops or transport, but if one has a vehicle, the sky's the limit! The closest town is Beaconsfield, a short 5k away, and one can do the weekly shopping there, as well a little exploring in the surrounding areas. The countryside is truly stunning. Beauty Point has a couple tourist attractions - the seahorse "farm" and a platypus attraction opposite. Walking round the town is easy, without many hills, and the people I met were very friendly. The only place I ate was Chefs Catch, with delicious fresh local fish and chips and delightful dessert and icecream from the Tamar area. The views from just about everywhere are spectacular!

Beauty Point is a quiet town near Beaconsfield.

Beauty Point is a quiet town near Beaconsfield. Good for RV and caravans and people just resting. Not a lot to do at Beauty Point but the area has much to see if you have a car. A nice place to visit for a few days.

Travelling Tas this place was by far the most uncomfortable , we had virtually no sleep on the concrete mattress , no bathroom door . Just a curtain across . Old sofa uncomfortable as well Not value for money . View of shrubs , no garden view Beauty Point itself was a pretty place . I would not recommend the G’Day Park cabin for the money we were charged
