Very friendly owner/receptionist. I have been travelling through tasmania for 8 days and this was the only place i stayed at where the heater was turned on before arrival so that the room was nice and warm for me when i got there. this meant a lot. she even turned the outside lights on for me and showed me where to find my cabin as it was dark when i arrived. the bed was very comfortable and the cabin had everything you could ask for, even a balcony and heating lights in the bathroom. even had some free port available on arrival. all was clean and tidy and i was given great instructions on where to find everything. only 20min drive away from “The Wall” and not too far from Mt Field Nationalpark.

Bronte itself is lovely but the drive from Launceston was a bit daunting especially the heavy fog in the middle of the day on roads which have a lot of bends and then gravel road for quite a distance to get to Bronte.

The picture shows Brontë beach in Sydney not Brontë park in Tasmania. Our cabin at Brontë Park was well planned and well equipped and our host was helpful. The Central Highlands even provided some snow!

Bronte is quite remote, ok for trampers and outdoor adventures, local town quite basic, nice accommodation just in from main road, local store ok for emergency food or snacks, apart from the main highway, the road inland is gravel, mud, and the potholes look like Swiss cheese. We were there late March.

A nice little country town, which makes a great stopover when travelling between Hobart and the west coast. It is quite picturesque, especially after it snowed. One downside to snow though is possible road closures if you don't have a 4WD. There's also not a lot of options for food. Best to go shopping for groceries at the local shop or head to another town if you want to eat out (we went to Miena).

Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us.

Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us. There was not a lot for us to do there other than a drive into the small community and a drive outside of town to look at town water supply. We brought our own food and supplies with us , expecting there would be limited choices within the town .There was very little available at general store when we looked so very pleased we made that choice !

It was a very quiet place, close to lakes so good for people who fish or for those who wish to get away from noise. Make sure you take most of your supplies to eat and drink as the one local shop doesn't offer a lot of choices. The cabins are a good size with a seperate bedroom away from the lounge area. The wood heater was a lovely addition to the electric heating. The spa was a nice idea and very relaxing. Not great reception for phones or WiFi, but awesome if you want to get away from it all.

The house is very nice. It is clean, has all the mod cons including an induction cooktop. It also has a nice fire place to add ambience. The hosts were very friendly and approachable and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Bronte Snug, and would refer this accommodation to anyone.

We chose to stay one night at Brontë Park for a stopover between Strahan & Hobart. Did not know it was so remote so didn’t have enough food with us for dinner that night. Fortunately we just made it to the nearby general store and found a couple of items before it closed for the evening.

Way better than the photos, our lodge seemed freshly renovated! Exceptionally friendly lodge manager, and the house dog is so cute! The area is full of wildlife, we totally enjoyed it. The stay at Bronte was one of the highlights of our trip to Tasmania.

Great spot at Bronte Park. Gloria was so helpful and welcoming. It was very warm and great to have a wood fire ready to go. Would highly recommend to others.

Lovely quiet spot. Column oil heater was good. Shower was good - obviously no water shortages in Bronte Park! Thanks for the coffee pods.
