The room I stayed in was extremely clean, quiet, and well maintained. The fridge and kitchen were regularly restocked with useful essentials like milk, coffee, cereal, OJ. And the owner was friendly and very accommodating. My siblings and I stay here every time we visit town.

Even though it's on sin road, the rooms are back off the road, so much quieter than another motel on the same street we've also stayed at. Truck stop next door is convenient and playground close by.

From the moment we arrived, hospitable and made ever so welcome. Was actually a little overwhelmed with the kindness and understanding from staff and even housekeeping. In Melbourne it's so stale now .

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this property. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and pride Robyn puts into maintaining and presenting the space - it was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. Robyn was warm and welcoming, making us feel at home straight away. One of the standout touches was the freshly baked bread waiting for us on arrival, which was simply sublime and such a thoughtful gesture. The views were breathtaking - easily some of the best we’ve experienced - and made the whole stay feel even more special. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and we especially loved spending time in the game room. The pool table and the unique memorabilia added so much character and made it a really fun space to relax in. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations in every way. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and highly recommend it to others.

Great city - what really stood out was how friendly the shopkeepers were. We had a group of 10 for breakfast and snacks at The Farmhouse, and they kindly arranged tables especially for us; the food was excellent. We also ate at The Bakery, again great food and staff. The divided road layout is a bit unusual, but we loved the trees running down the centre. There are great fishing spots close by. We also attended a wonderful Easter Sunday service at the Camperdown Presbyterian Church, where we were made very welcome. Plenty of historic buildings to explore, many with informative plaques, and the clock tower is magnificent.

Great example of a western districts country town.

Great example of a western districts country town. All the facilities you need are there. The nearby walk up the volcanic hills were great (we saw a koala). Great central location to explore the region.

The Botanic Gardens are small but oh so beautiful.

The Botanic Gardens are small but oh so beautiful. It was so fascinating to learn more about the volcanic past of this area. We loved wandering the streets and looking at the architectural features and unique landscape surrounding the town. Friendly locals and old fashioned country manners. We drove out to other areas to explore more, just amazing! Loved everything about our weekend stay.

We loved the tour of the Clock Tower, the view from Mt Leura for sunset and the Lakes around the area. The Hampden Hotel was a great place to eat with a good variety on the menu - booking essential. The Lake Edge Cafe was the perfect place for lunch with a serene outlook and delicious meals. The Botanical Gardens were beautiful and peaceful overlooking the lakes and town.

Camperdown is a lovely town with lakes and gardens and historical sites such as the ClockTower. People are friendly. There is plenty of cafe's and shops with two main supermarkets. It is a good place to stay and drive to the great ocean road.

Although I had aimed to stay 2 nights, could only stay 1.

Although I had aimed to stay 2 nights, could only stay 1. Camperdown itself is a town with a 2 klm avenue. It has some beautiful historic buildings and the towns history is worth researching. Not far from Camperdown you have Lake Edge Cafe at Tesbury on the Purrumbete Estate. On leaving Camperdown on my way to my next destination on a very wintry day, I visited and was greeted with a very warm welcome by all the ladies working there. The coffee was excellent along with the view across the lake. On my next visit I will be sure to return, not just for coffee, but for lunch.

When we visit our friends in Camperdown, we usually stay at The Mill. For us the location is ideal as it is so close to the main street especially the recent renovated Commercial Hotel. The facilities at The Mill are excellent and the decor is quirky and fitting of the venue.

The location and accesibility of the Leura hotel and the very friendly staff was wonderful. Comfy beds, quiet and even though the bathroom is shared everything felt very private.
