The girl on the phone was really nice and efficient, which made booking easy. The room has a classic old-style motel vibe that I actually appreciated — most importantly, it was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location is quiet and conveniently close to the highway. Would stay again!

Dimboola is a hidden treasure.

Dimboola is a hidden treasure. The Dimboola Motel was super clean. Dimboola Store is a must stop for coffee and breakfast. Best coffee and scrambled eggs we had on our 6 week trip. The Victoria Hotel is an award winning pub with antiques and artwork. The most tender calamari meal I have ever eaten. Huge meal, too! The main street, parks and township generally are just beautiful. The community is positive and friendly. Highly recommend travellers to visit and support this gorgeous place.

We arrived in Dimboola towards the end of the day, so most shops were closing, however I meet Rick who runs the Desert Blooms Nursery, and found a few things I was looking for. He was very nice and gave us a little history on the town which was helpful when we went out for dinner.

The takeaway in Dimboola was closed (for 3 weeks) coinciding with my stay (5 days). This limited eating options to just 1 pub, the Victoria Hotel. This a good venue. Spent my whole stay cycling. Didn't attempt any other sight seeing.

Only stopped through for a night, but the local pub, the Victoria Hotel, was a genuine country pub where the locals and travelers alike could stop in for a drink and a meal. Recommend booking for the bistro in the pub. They fit us in at short notice, but it was pretty busy. The bartenders also let us know there's a small brewery looking to open up soon, so that could be another good reason to visit in the future.

So much to do in town and the area.

So much to do in town and the area. Charming town, friendly locals, excellent food at Victoria Hotel, & Cat Clarke's restaurant which featured local produce & bush tucker. Lake Tyrell and the silo art in the area are well worth your time!

It's off the highway which for me wins loads of brownie points. It's not flash, but that doesn't matter as long as bed is good, shower is good and it's clean and it's all that. The town is good too with the Victoria Hotel a must visit for drinks and dinner.

Helena's Willery was welcome resting place after a long drive. It's funky decor and comfortable bed were super. It was close the Dimboola pub for a beer and a feed. Magic.
