very small village town with no pub but a country club...

very small village town with no pub but a country club offering meals and cold beer (except sundays); organic produce, small daytime dinner with friendly staff, local general store. Proximity to several well worth visit wineries, some offering meals if you ring ahead. Surrounding lakes and ponds best viewed in autumn or winter especially if interested in birds. Very dry in summer, no water birds to be found. Only 90 min from Albany or the Tree top walk or Windy point, all worth a day trip.

We could have done so much more around the area if we...

We could have done so much more around the area if we researched it better and had planned more time. Maybe next time. We predominantly went down to visit a couple of wineries, but could have done more.
