The Motel is located in a country setting and provides a relaxing atmosphere. There is a Service Station across the road that does provide food but a little travel is required for good food and alcohol.

Exactly half way between Cairns and the Sunshine Coast. Very quiet surrounded by peaceful countryside. Owners easy to deal with. Can get meals and fuel at the truck stop about 200 metres away. Parking right outside the door. Microwave and toaster if you want to make your own meals. I love drinking their lovely tank water.

The size of the room was fine as was the bathroom. Crockery and kitchen appliances were provided and in good order. They even went to the effort of providing washing up liquid. Unfortunately this was about all that was good. The staff (especially the male) was very abrupt to point of being rude. The Kitchen was infested with ants (and there was no spray supplied). There was no remote to control the air-conditioning (useless). The fridge wasn't turned on until we arrived and we had to switch it on ourselves. There was no ability to plug an external USB device into the TV. There were no reading lamps over the bed. The main road noise was terrible (as was the nearby railway line). The outside light could not be turned off and shone through the glass panel of the front door.
