Didn’t really know much about Rockhampton, but were interested to see the area to possibly be used for the Olympics. The river was quite impressive and the hotels and buildings alongside very impressive.

From the caves, Mt Archer Lookout and River area- tourists are well catered for. The beautiful old buildings with their lavish lacework and solid and exquisite architecture give a glimpse into the history and a step back in time.

Rockhampton is the "BEEF CAPITAL" of Australia and there is plenty of very good meals available at realistic prices. Stewarts is a Major Department Store in the city centre which is well worth seeing.

Visiting family and friends. Family friendly activities. Local parks are modern and plenty options. Always stop into the zoo and the new bike pump/water park in Archer Park Gracemere was a hit with the kids.

Rockhampton has to be one of Australia most underrated...

Rockhampton has to be one of Australia most underrated regional cities. It's quite a beautiful city, has a real subtropical rainforest feel about it . Some real gems in regards to food to be found and plenty of things to see and do. On top of that the majority of people are friendly on a level that I expect to find in a small town not a decent sized metropolis. It's well laid out and easy to find your way around in both the city and suburbs. I enjoyed my stay and will return.

I was passing though on my travel through to Emerald, so I didn't get to see or do a lot, but I will be travelling back through in a week or so, and I'll definitely be doing some exploring of the local area!

The queen suite is lovely and has everything you could need. I stayed during a difficult time involving a death in the family and the staff could not have been more compassionate and kind. The hotel is very clean, perfectly located for whatever reason you're visiting Rockhampton and there is even an on site restaurant. Will make a point of staying here again for sure.

A nice hotel! We were stopping off on our drive from Airlie Beach to Rainbow Beach. The hotel had a good amount of parking and the room was very clean & modern. Came with a fridge and all toiletries required. Room was quiet and well located in Rockhampton!
