Location worked well to visit the park, facilities were clean and reasonable value (including restaurant for dinners). Staff was very helpful and friendly. The aboriginal art gallery was excellent. Room was quit and well appointed.

Great park with excellent facilities and our cabin was clean and comfortable! Bistro available right near the pool which was a very attractive area. Meals were excellent! We would definitely stay again if we went to Kakadu! 40-45 minutes from Yellow Water Cruises which is fabulous. 30 minutes to Ubirr and Cahills Crossing which were fantastic.

Kakadu National Park is a unique nature experience, which we both enjoyed. Excessive wet season flooding meant that several of the parks iconic attractions were closed due to flood damage. However, this made the park overall greener and more interesting. Please note that outback Northern Territory is remote and substantially more expensive than the rest of Australia for holidays and travelling. Our overnight accommodation using Glamping tents at Cooinda Lodge Kakadu I would rate at 2 stars, they are not well cleaned, not very spacious, are not self-contained (no cooking or cutlery facilities) and very expensive at $600AU per night. Meals at Cooinda Lodge were expensive.

Going on the scenic flight was a highlight and doing all that we could during the wet season was fun. Just go knowing that most of the scenic spots are closed during the wet season so manage your expectations when travelling. We enjoyed a relaxed time away and didn't feel the need to have lots of hiking and activities during the day. The pools were always a good way of relaxing and enjoying the hotel facilities after a few hours of sightseeing. I'd 100% recommend the scenic flight and the Yellow River Cruise at Cooinda, and the Spectacular Crocodile Jumping Cruise. The chef at Cooinda Lodge was exceptional. If you dare, try the kangaroo!

We booked a queen room only the day before.

We booked a queen room only the day before. Check in was at 3pm. We were booked into yellow boats for sunset cruise at 4.30pm which was a 40 minute drive. Requested to get room at 2pm , our queen room was not ready but they offered us 2 doubles. Which we gladly took. Beds awesome. Had a swim in there awesome pool. I had read you must book for the restaurant and this is true. We didn't get back from cruise until 7.45pm as roadworks and husband was pulled over by police random breath test. Thankfully we had booked restaurant as we seen people arriving after 8pm and being turned away. No other food out there really to randomly get. Wish we booked 2 nights one is not enough. Need 4wd to access any look outs ect.

Go to Yellow Water Billalong, Ubirr and Nourlangie and definitely visit the waterfalls while you are here. If you don't have a 4WD, book an all day tour and they can take you. We are dinner at the Mercure restaurant. We had breakfast in Jabiru township.

The staff were incredible, exceptional. I've travelled around the world and at some very exclusive hotels and restaurants, I've stayed at cooinda a ridiculous number of times having a mum who insisted all visiting friends and family go to Kakadu and a night at cooinda. The service this time was better than any service I've received or experienced anywhere ever. Truly honestly. The staff were incredible.

Kakadu is iconic in every way. The hotel's reception/art area is excellent and the restaurant has a really good buffet.
