Loved our room with the spa bath, with the bedroom overlooking the lake! And a gas fire place. Staff were friendly and welcoming and if something didn’t make sense, asking someone sorted it out. Bartender was a generous legend — and the rum was so delicious I bought a bottle! Bed was so big and comfortable. Very happy to end our Overland adventure here!

The scenery, the walks and ease of getting around the site are well worth the expense. We particularly enjoyed the platypus walk with information boards pointing out the local flora and looking for platypus on the lake edge from the hide.

We were a group of 8 seniors, everyone enjoyed their accomodation, choice of activities available. Food was very good considering the location and we were not in peak season. Staff were efficient, well trained and friendly. Only negative- the fishermen didn’t catch a trout!! The Wall is definitely worth a visit.

The setting is beautiful.

The setting is beautiful. I would suggest bringing your own plates and cutlery as there were none available in the room. Just a fridge with some long life milk, a kettle and some cups with some tea and coffee. There is no microwave. Very comfy bed and very cozy room. Be warned there is absolutely no internet wifi and I could only get cell coverage for my phone down by the lake. But it is lovely and peaceful.

I would suggest a day trip there and not an overnight stay.

I would suggest a day trip there and not an overnight stay. We felt it was a little too remote with limited things to do after a few walks. The "Wall" (just outside Lake St. Claire), was amazing and I highly recommend people to visit. The accommodation was costly for what it was and the lodge was very disorganised.

Beautiful glacial lake surrounded by mountains in the middle of a large National Park. Undeveloped and intended for serious hikers. There are many walking and trekking paths short and long. The Overland hike is a 6 day walking adventure. The roads to and from are mountainous and winding.

Amazing location right next to Lake St Clair and with so many great hikes (short or long). Accommodation was very spacious with direct views of the lake and so quiet. Loved the ferry ride on the lake one afternoon. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food at the restaurant was excellent - even though it is winter and very quiet, the menu offered great choices.

Fantastic location in the national park on the shore of Lake St Clair. Cabins were well equipped and the heater was on when I arrived late in the afternoon which was great. Staff were terrific. Really appreciated the hot breakfast (which was included) after a morning walk in the park in the snow. Was amazing and so beautiful. Will definitely be back.

Serene location right in the shores of beautiful Lake St Clair. I wish we had spent more time here. We arrived late but everything was ready for us on check in. Cabin was well appointed and electric fire place was super easy and warm. Oh and the wildlife was amazing, echidnas, pademelons, wombat, snake and more.
