We stayed at “SYRAH” with my family from Japan. There has kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.(One of them had a bathtub!) Really clean and comfortable, we enjoyed to stay there. The surrounding nature was beautiful and when I took a walk in the morning, I saw kangaroos and caws:)

Private and comfortable room just a short walk away from brewery and town of Margaret River. Great outdoor patio and host Steve who shared local recommendations and surf conditions before we headed to Gracetown breaks.

The chalet is amazing, everything very well maintained. Bedrooms were comfortable, plenty of pillows and blankets. Bathroom was super clean, nice bathtub and hot + good shower pressure. Kitchen had everything you would need in terms of appliances, kitchenware, etc. The BBQ grill was a plus on the outside and good quality. The outdoors was amazing, the lake, the bushwalk trail and the whole area is super peaceful, we didn't even want to go to town once we checked in!

People are quite gruff in general.

People are quite gruff in general. Hard for people to cross the road because drivers don’t seem to have any interest in pedestrians. The lady in Vasso Virgin was outstanding, I’m going to order more from them online. The steakhouse was fantastic. The Thai was also great, not perfect service but very nice staff and great food.

Really pretty area & township, seemed to have everything you need to suit all tastes & ages, plus all budgets & styles of stays you seek. It’s close to wineries, scenic drives & not far from Busselton & Jetty with iconic train running along same. Definitely enjoyed meals at both Swings & Roundabouts, plus Settlers Tavern is above the average.

The town had many of the conveniences of a city but in a country setting. Lots of places to choose to eat from for any meal of the day. Plenty of activities and things to do to suit all ages and interests! We shopped at the local IGA for quality foods. It was quite busy but we aways managed to find a car park. People were very friendly and welcoming in all venues!

Margaret River is a wonderful town and fabulous region.

Margaret River is a wonderful town and fabulous region. It's friendly, easy to drive around, and has plenty of amenities for long or short time travellers. Caves Rd is the tourist road, lots of slower speed limits so you can find wineries galleries and restaurants with ease.... it's also a very beautiful region, with autumn colours on the vines, neat and grand gateways dotted along the roads. Close to the Surfers Point beaches, and stunning forests.. great day trips in any direction. ..and if you want a quicker drive you go via the Bussel Highway at higher speeds. It's a well thought through tourist region and we are so glad we came.

Woolies and Coles for groceries.

Woolies and Coles for groceries. Good restaurants and coffeeshops. Good variety of clothing, souvenir and other local goods shops. Riverside Inn was fantastic for dinner. A range of wineries are within easy driving distance. Tourist Information Centre is excellent. Lots of beautiful walks, birdlife, local flora and fauna. Have a coffee, hire a bike at the Hairy Marron! Go for a hike. Beautiful. Busselton is only 30 minutes away. Lots to see and do there. Gracetown is absolutely stunning if you like the beach.

The whole place had a wonderful, serene atmosphere. Our room was perfectly clean, and though not a huge room, it felt very spacious. We took advantage of the bbq area. I love how each room has its own little veranda set in the gardens. Steve is an excellent host! He is also environmentally conscious, which is great. The location is perfect. Next door is the Margaret River Brew House. It's a short walk into the centre of town. This is our second stay at Edge of the Forrest - it's a place you want to return to.

I like everything, Highly recommend this hotel. The hotel was nothing less than fabulous, and the staff were amazing. The bed was amazing and the room was stunning with a huge living space, the only negative was we only had 5 nights there! We loved Margaret River. The food in the River Restaurant was also delicious. Thank you for your service
