The property is very clean and has got pretty much everything you need. From cookware, cooking ingredients, even glad wraps, kitchen wipes and first aid packs. There are snack foods and ice pops prepared by the owner. The owner is extremely friendly, you can ask anything about the town and the property.

The Marlo Caravan park was a great option for us as we were travelling with our dog and this provided a much-needed break to the drive. The studio was clean and roomy (big enough for us to fit our suitcase and our dog's crate. Bonus was there was a grassed area out the front that we could take our dog out for toilet breaks. And an extra bonus was that the Marlo Hotel is just across the road and is also dog friendly with delicious food.

Wonderful quiet tranquil remote and isolated part of outer East Gippsland with abundance of natural beauty and unspoiled wilderness, flora and fauna in close proximity including Cape Conran Coastal Park and infamous Snowy River, Marlo Plains and town of Orbost. Perfect place to indulge in a slower paced and more simple life and to support the friendly local community recovering from pandemic, bushfires, loss of native timber industry and recent fuel crisis.

This is a great spot to break a Melbourne - Sydney trip. We were outside school holidays and a very peaceful stay. Hotel is great, good food etc etc. and a great place to sit in the evening on the deck and watch the sun go down.

Marlo is a beautiful little town with a superb beach and lots of other coastal activities. It has a great pub and a local brewery as well. It is a hidden gem and is only about a four hour drive from Melbourne.

As keen photographers we were disappointed at what Marlo itself had to offer. There was only a fishing jetty on the river and not much else. Only a couple of shops. The pub was good though. About 10 - 15kms out of town is the Conran Coast with the main feature, Salmon Rocks worth a visit. Mot Beach was also lovely and if you walk to the right, you can see where the Snowy River enters the sea (at a distance) so that was pretty special. We didn't do the coast walk but I think that would be nice.

Marlo is beautiful and you have the River, beaches and Rainforest nearby . In July it is the off season so it is peaceful, with mild weather and not busy . In summer I think it would be ghastly !

We could have stayed longer, the view from the room was lovely and you could hear the ocean from the balcony. Parking was good outside our room. We could enter our room from either the hotel or the balcony. our meals were absolutely fantastic. The staff were friendly and polite. We will be going back to do some more exploring around Marlo & beyond.
