AustraliaArrival staff were friendly and helpful, the private spa barrels were wonderful, the room was beautifully furnished with no expense spared on floor finishes, linen, furniture, Japanese crockery. Ambiance from lighting and the planting outside was beautiful. Arrival chocolates and prosecco cans was a nice touch, and the breakfast hamper was lovely. Bed was super comfy, and the heat lamps in the shower, and heated towel rails were great!

Metung is about half an hour to drive to the other main towns for restuarants and other tourist attractions, etc. There are lots of great restaurants in Lakes Entrance - including Sodafish. Highly recommend visiting Raymond Island near Paynesville too.

Metung is a tiny, quiet fishing village in the Gippsland Lakes region. We think its perfect for adults, not necessarily the place you would stay with a few kids on board.
The local pub was fabulous- great seafood.

Metung, the jewell of the Gippsland Lakes.
Metung, the jewell of the Gippsland Lakes. Quiet village but a great Hotel right on the waters edge with great food and cold beer. Plenty of cafes and other eateries in immediate vicinity. General store to get any last minute items and a great launderette for those of us who needed to dry our clothes after a wet motorcycle ride. And those who enjoy fishing, there's multiple land based/pier options where you can catch a feed. If you can't relax at Metung you might need professional help.

We had a wonderful stay in Metung.
We had a wonderful stay in Metung. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location was beautiful and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Everything we needed was available, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The host was friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better.
Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Metung. We would happily stay here again in the future.

A picturesque town with good access to the Gippsland lakes.
A picturesque town with good access to the Gippsland lakes. The golf course is a lovely course and the Hot Springs are a must do. The pub serves up great food overlooking the lake. We really enjoyed our stay and will go back with a group of friends for a few days of relaxation and golf on the many nearby courses.

Everything - view, coziness, fire pit, pizza oven, wildlife (birds and dolphins/seals down by the Metung hotel). Had a gas gastric stay and will highly recommend this place.
