great location! withing walking distance to Toogood Bakery! easy enough to find and great rear yard area (would have utilised it a bit more if the weather wasn't so windy at the time of our stay)

Wonderful location within easy walking distance to the beach, even with small children. Nearby splashpark was a huge success! Fabulous array of children's toys and games, as well as a cubby house, climbing frame and firepit, all of which we used during our week. Moonta is a beautiful old town with lots of historical landmarks.

This place is absolutely perfect in every way! The location is fantastic, and you can see the ocean right from the balcony. Everything in the house is spotless, and it's fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Honestly, this is the best place I've ever stayed at. It's ideal for a getaway with friends. Highly recommended!

Fantastic location in a quiet street with easy beach access. The home was beautifully equipped and the addition of an abundance of books, games and toys was a wonderful bonus. Great host with excellent communication who went out of his way to return an item we accidentally left behind.

Ye Olde Cafe is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner - definitely worth a visit! Capella's was great too - awesome pasta and pizzas and they also do takeaway. Grab a coffee and visit Simms Cove - lovely lookout! The Miner's Cottage in Moonta has a beautiful garden to explore too.

It's a budget hotel, so rooms are basic but they are very clean and comfortable. Nice and quiet which I appreciated. Staff very friendly and main street a few minutes walking to buy some food or snacks. The only issue I felt was the shared bathroom was too far away having to walk down 3 passages to go to the toilet.

We had no idea about Moonta before going there and didn’t...

We had no idea about Moonta before going there and didn’t know what to expect. The town is very small but has a nice atmosphere. Cafe’s are great for breakfast and lunch but it’s hard to find places to go for dinner. Beaches are beautiful but it was extremely windy while we were there and I have a feeling this might be normal. Still it was a great experience and I highly recommend going on the Moonta Mine Train and going on the walks around there also.

Moonta was a great country town to visit, with a rich Cornish mining heritage, close to the sea / beach, and friendly people made the experience enjoyable and memorable. I would recommend a visit !

The beach is rocky but looked beautiful.

The beach is rocky but looked beautiful. You are 15 minutes from Kadina and Wallaroo, if you were looking to go there and they’re booked out this is a great option. It’s a small country town and would recommend for a quiet getaway. Moonta has a cool water park for the kids. It’s worth checking out! Capella’s pizza was delicious!

We went to Splashtown, it was good for the kids and we also went to the beach. We went to the mines, which had the train ride. It was a good. Had breakfast at Taste the Yorke, food was good, good portions too. Overall it was a good experience.
