Porongorup has a number of short walks for the active hiker, some of which are quite challenging. The views are excellent! There are a number of good wineries in the area which also serve food. Mount Barker is not far away for more substantial supplies and fuel etc.

Base your trip from this beautiful retreat, head out to the bushwalks, drives out to Stirling Ranges, pop into the distillery and wineries around the area. Mt Barker is close for a great IGA and nice shops for a stroll. Albany not all that far if you feel like a swim. Well situated for relaxing, recharging and exploring.

Magnificent scenery.

Magnificent scenery. There are so many walks and climbs to choose from. Wild flower heaven especially for native orchids. Best to be prepared with bringing down some of your meals, the options for food is limited and expensive. Short drive to Albany with different type of attractions.
