Needed a place to stay in last minute and found this property. I was a bit unsure what it would be like given it is on top of the pub, however we were very impressed with the accommodation and facilities in the room. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was so comfy and clean.

Interesting place undergoing transformation from a busy shipping hub to a residential and historical centre. Three very interesting museums nearby, a few good pubs and restaurants. The development appears to have ground to a halt as there were some vacant blocks in prime positions that have stalled.

Port adelaide was the suburb my partner grew up in so he had a lot of fond memories in port adelaide. I grew up in woodville gardens and quite often went to Port adelaide. It is a nice place with good sites to see and enjoy.

Port Adelaide is an area that is currently improving and developing each time we visit. We enjoy the quieter pace here compared to other areas and loved the ability to walk to eateries and take in the sites.

Proximity to Semaphore and within walking distance to the beach and food outlets but may be a wee bit too far at times. A cheap regular shuttle run of some kind up and down Semaphore Road via Larges and Port Adelaide would be handy. Good being close to the rail station...could hop over to Larges Beach via trains. Bit more difficult to get to much of Port Adelaide. Favourite places were Semaphore and especially around Larges Bay. Had take away and/or bought my own at Drakes mainly because too many other outlets were closed too early to cater for business oriented people. Would avoid overpriced hotels with limited rooms some of which in hind sight are now obviously too small & which contain absolutely no seating in the room or even a small work space AND which were difficult to assess as such from the somewhat limited pictorial advertising .

I live in Brisbane and work all over Australia so I've been to a lot of city's. Adelaide to me must be the most livable city in Australia. The beautiful federation homes, wide streets, so very clean, walking pleasure, very modern but so good in keeping the history.
