Sale is a lovely town, not crowded with tourists and offers wonderful walks through the extensively restored Wetlands - teaming with birdlife and varied vegetation. The wild 90-Mile Beach is only a 40 minute drive away. The Botanical Gardens are also a delight, while the Sale Art Gallery, while not extensive, has a varied and high-quality collection of works by Gippsland artists.

Sale is a lovely town.
Sale is a lovely town. Beautiful historical buildings, everything you could need in shops, great hotels and cafes with excellent food. Art gallery is great, tourist information very helpful. Went on the boat trip down the canal to the swing bridge, beautiful. Lovely walk around the lakes, plentiful bird life. Will be coming back.

SALE was a lovely area to visit , friendly people and excellent places to dine out . Walks around the water front and surrounding region were beautiful.
Lots of historical architecture with a rich military history with the east IRAAF base since the 1940s. .
This town has alot of that old Victorian country charm that you just don't experience in the large cities, I would recommend a stay at the matador hotel for its quirky decor and excellent customer service & continental breakfast .

We found the buisness staff friendly.
We found the buisness staff friendly. Sale had a lot to offer. Lovely lakes within walking distance and parks to enjoy a picnic or quiet moment taking in the wild life. The weather was surprizing for this time of the year.( late July) The town has everything for all kind of travellers. Could have syayed longer and will be coming back to stay a little longer.

The Gippsland gallery is superb. Wonderfully curated exhibitions. I went for the Meine and Turner exhibitions from Melbourne. Will go again.

dinner was excellent with food of a very high standard with service outstanding. we requested quiet rooms at back of hotel, this was done with no issues.. Rooms are small but modern and very clean.
