Staying there with 2 teenagers for a national competition, I almost cried when we pulled up and I saw the place - it looked terrible. Provided us somewhere to sleep and shower, that’s all. No room to relax there, no space in room to move, washing machine facilities terrible and food poor.

The town centre offers two supermarkets, bakery, several take-away cafe's, and other resteraunts, plus several hotels. Great nursery just on the edge of town. Lovely park over the road from the hotel. The newsagency is a pleasure to visit with lots of giftlines and tattslotto. A great place for families to live in.

Rooms are Very clean and comfortable, has a good location if you have a car. But unfortunately not disability friendly as all rooms are upstairs. No bistro so you have to source meals elsewhere. Does not match up to the description on Bookings.com.
Would recommend for short stays for singles, couples

This place has a laid back atmosphere but well run.
This place has a laid back atmosphere but well run. Pets allowed is a big bonus! Far enough from town to be quiet but a short car ride to Burnie. Beach across the road. The dogs loved it.
And.. The staff are nice people.

I have stayed at the property before and will recommend the property to other travellers. Great location with good access to the village of Somerset which has supermarkets, newagency, take-awy and bakery etc. Short drive to city of Burnie. Friendly staff, pride is taken with the grounds and rooms are spotless in presentation. Well priced and very affordable for staying several days. Very picturesque with the Cam River over the road and family friendly with the beach across the highway.

I LOVE this place. The rooms are small but cosy. It's always clean. The beds are comfy, you get comfy pillows and proper doonas as well as the option of turn on the electric blanket!! The bathrooms are all so beautiful also with giant shower heads. Down the street is a lovely Milkbar for morning coffee and lunch for the day, and there's an IGA also. Just a small walk away from the beach. Truly a hidden gem is this hotel

Very large and spacious family apartment. Having 2 bathrooms was great. Good value for money. Beds were comfy. Very quiet even though it's above a hotel and right on the highway. Good parking. Loved having a dishwasher.
