We had a great stay at the Bauhaus Hotel, perfect place to rest our head for a night, after exploring the Barossa. In a central location in Angaston, free parking behind the property and beautiful modernised rooms. Seperate bathrooms are very clean and modern, quiet rooms despite being above the pub. Lovely street with cafes & bakeries before hitting some wine tastings. Would stay here again, highly recommended! :)

Tanunda is a beautiful country town.

Tanunda is a beautiful country town. Very easy to get around and close to a lot of wineries. 50's diner was magnificent. There is so much to see and do, research and make a list like my friend did and you won't miss anything. Great experience.

Tanunda is central to the Barossa Valley wineries in scenery very reminiscent of Burgundy. An interesting main street with a choice of eateries. We uased several. Nuri is only 12 km and Lyndoch not far.

We have been to the Barossa a few times before, it is a favourite destination for food & wine. Love the smaller wineries like Tomfoolery, Bethany, Rockford, Thorn-Clarke, Hentley Farm just to name a few. Tanunda is a great location with a number of excellent places to eat in the main street, as well as the chemist, grocery, beauty stores etc. It's ideal for getting around to different wineries within an easy drive. We had an excellent stay, the pace was relaxed & the people very helpful & friendly. We were treated so well & given recommendations that were spot-on. We could have easily stayed a month enjoyment-wise, but the budget would not survive that. We'll be back.

Historic Tanunda is a service centre for the surrounding area. It has many heritage buildings and a great range of quality cafes bars and restaurants. The town’s sense of history is matched by its dedication as a wine centre.

There are plenty of wineries closeby and those we visited (Rockford, Turkey Flats, Seppeltsfield and Pike) were excellent. Lunching and dining out in the evenings is also well catered for in Tanunda, the Tanunda Hotel and Fermentasian being two we recommend. Tanunda, Angaston and Burra are attractive (but not-overdone) tourist areas and we could have spent longer in all those towns. All the roads are easy driving. In a couple of words, don't be in a hurry while holidaying here - there is plenty to enjoy if you do it at a leisurely pace.

Great location. Walking distance to town ( resturants and shops) and virtually right next door to Chateau Tanunda. Offstreet parking. Well furnished full unit and immacutely clean. Fully equipped kitchen. Even had stove top and oven and a large fridge. Spacious rooms and bathroom. Extremely friendly host, who made us feel so welcome.

Lovely room that was very clean and comfortable. Excellent shower with good water pressure. The complimentary snacks and wine were a surprise and a nice touch. The wifi worked well which wasn’t the case with some hotels in Adelaide CBD.
