A cute heritage cottage on beautiful country grounds that included other heritage buildings (school house) and llamas! Wendy, the owner was immediately responsive to any queries and personally came to say "hello" and make sure everything was okay. This is a gem in a great area north of Hobart (1.5hrs away) and on the way to Cradle Mountain or other points of interest on west coast of Tasmania. Highly recommend.

As the host recommended, stock up for food supplies at New...

As the host recommended, stock up for food supplies at New Norfolk on the way, although the pantry at our accommodation was also pretty generous. The Tyenna river is nearby and we could hear it in the distance from our accommodation - which was so comfortable, stylish and cosy. We visited the stunning Mt Field National Park and Russell Falls. Do the whole walk - the tracks are pretty easy and only a few stairs. After, we visited the Fika Time Cafe at nearby Maydena. Great hosts, food and some local history to absorb. You need a car to get around but the distances aren't great. Will visit again!

Repeat booker.

Repeat booker. Pristine private location, perfect facilities, lovely hosts! Our family go to when we need that perfect staycation! Resident platypus and trout in the river! Hiking nearby plus Westerway Roadhouse (9 mins away) does amazing Friday night pizzas (call earlier in day to order for dinner pickup). Thanks yet again, Veronica!

The cabin is beautifully appointed in a secluded location.

The cabin is beautifully appointed in a secluded location. If you a travelling you will need to get food at one of the larger towns as there is very little near the cabin. There is a decent pub about 10 minute drive which does food.
