A very pleasant hotel with friendly staff. This is a small hotel with only 12 rooms, which means you almost develop a personal relationship with the staff. There isn’t really a lobby or common area, but there is a cozy little breakfast room. They also have the option to arrange larger meetings or gatherings. If you would like breakfast, you let them know the day before. Breakfast is served exactly how you prefer it—either a full continental breakfast or just coffee and a light meal if that’s what you want. It’s not a buffet—we were welcomed to a breakfast table that had been set just for us personally. If we didn’t finish everything, the owner brought aluminum foil so we could take the rest with us for later in the day. The hotel is located right by Oudenaarde Market Square. We were there the same weekend as the Tour of Flanders, with lots of activity and excitement in the square. However, it was quiet by midnight. Very pleasant and personal service. Highly recommended!

We had a very pleasant stay at this small and cozy guesthouse, beautifully located right in the middle of nature. The views over the garden were lovely, and even though it was February, the place felt warm, calm, and really refreshing. You can easily imagine how wonderful it must be in spring, autumn, or even during a snowy winter. The host gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel comfortable right away. The guesthouse has everything you need for a weekend or a longer stay — clean, well equipped, and thoughtfully arranged. We also noticed a few nice restaurants nearby, which we’ll definitely try next time we’re in the area. A great place to relax and disconnect — we would happily come back.

The city is worth a visit: mediaeval church, city hall, begijnhof, market square, the works. The surrounding Vlaamse Ardennen are nice for hiking (and supposedly also for cycling). But if you want to visit the city hall and adjacent museum: pretty much everything is closed on a Monday. And restaurants often on Sun/Mon/Tue.

Oudennarde is a lovely town with a beautiful square in the centre. It's a great place to have a Belgian beer and watch the world go by. There are plenty of places to eat but Margarethas is by far the best. It might appear to be expensive but you get excellent food for your money. A walk by the river is recommended - especially on a sunny day. Additionally, Donk Lake is also a lovely place for a walk - or to watch the wake boarders. Unfortunately, it rained every day while we were there. A trip to Ghent is probably recommended if you spend more than two to three nights here.

Perfect Belgium town to stay in.

Perfect Belgium town to stay in. Easy to get around from the train, nice places to eat. Friendly people. I stayed for 6 days for the The Tour of Flanders and the Pro cycling races. A perfect location.

Oudenaarde is an attractive town with some excellent places...

Oudenaarde is an attractive town with some excellent places to eat - either in the centre or in the nearby villages. It's a great base for cycling enthusiasts - as there are iconic cobbled climbs and lovely quiet country roads. Having a beer in the centre of the town is recommended.

Brilliant place to ride a bike.

Brilliant place to ride a bike. Marked routes covering all the best cobbled climbs starting and finishing at the Centrum Ronde van Vlaanderen. For €4 you can buy a very good map there. Nice places to eat in the square.

Oudenaarde is an excellent base for cyclists. Whether you have a road bike or a gravel bike, this is a fantastic area. The town is attractive - lovely square and excellent bars serving the best beers in the world.

Excellent breakfast, perhaps one of the best I've ever had in a hotel, with a very wide variety of options: from fresh fruit to pastries, plenty of savory choices, and excellent hot and cold drinks. Great bike storage service, equipped with tools and accessible via key card
