The Cube is a stylish and comfortable studio apartment which made my stay in Cowichan Bay enjoyable and memorable. Check-in was very easy and as my arrival time shifted back, the owners were very flexible and friendly about being there when I arrived in the early evening. There are numerous nice design touches in the space, high ceilings, a stylish kitchen, and a comfortable bed. My relatives who I was in Cowichan to see did not see as much of me in the mornings as they expected since I was reluctant to leave.

The property is still under renavation. We got three rooms and one of them is just completed. The newly completed room is very good. All the rooms have everything we need when you rest a night in the road trip.

It was my first time glamping and I was blown away by the luxury and beauty of the set up. The owner thought of everything and the kitchen was amazing. The layout was so well planned with a hidden outdoor shower behind the kitchen for privacy (except all of nature around you). The view was spectacular and the deck was surrounded by wildflowers. The tent was huge and we enjoyed the seating area inside when it got a little buggy at dusk.

What Guests Said About Cowichan Bay:

Just plain excellent.

Just plain excellent. Large room, nice kitchen, included separate dinning table. Very comfortable beds including the flip out sofa bed. Good underground parking. Well maintained property. Didn't use the pool but it looked very inviting. Only little recommendation is that the weight machines in the exercise room could use updating.

It was a rainy cold day with low overhead clouds.

It was a rainy cold day with low overhead clouds. The sea was gray. The streets were wet. The air was chilly in the morning. We walked along the water to the bakery. It was open early for coffee and a treat sitting there in the outdoor patio we watch locals come and goas they got ready for their Saturday morning. Would probably like to go back when the weather is better.

It is a small community but the shops and restaurants around the bay are very good. There is an excellent yoga studio in Duncan, about 10 minutes away. It is called the Vancouver Island Yoga School and I went every day during my stay. There is a wonderful cafe called the Garage right next to it that serves lots of gluten free options. Super affordable and delicious.

Great little hidden gem - perfect when you’re doing the Pacific Marine Circle drive! Pool was great, the view is jaw-dropping, and the Cook and Butcher restaurant in the hotel is really high quality! Hotel could use a little update, but it’s such a gem of a spot, the decor is easy to forgive.

Cowichan Bay is a picturesque location with a marina, restaurants, small shops and cafes. The apartment is a short drive from the centre in a quiet residential area. We were provided entry details to the apartment by email a few days prior to arrival but in the event arrived when the owners (who live above) were in the garden. We then received a guided tour of the apartment. Lots to like. Shopping for groceries was convenient at The Country Grocer supermarket located on the Cowichan Bay Road junction with the TransCanada Highway.

Fantastic location near all the Cowichan Bay amenities. We had a quiet room with a peek-a-boo view of Cowichan Bay. The beds were comfortable and the wifi was great. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The Inn is very dated, but it was fine for us.
