We had an amazing stay at the Blue Horizon! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ready to help with any request. My room was spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, with a stunning view that made each morning feel special. The amenities, especially the pool were fantastic and well-maintained. I also enjoyed dining at their restaurant—delicious food and a great ambiance. Overall, I had a memorable experience and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, top-notch getaway!

FAQs about hotels in Vancouver

Outstanding Capital of the Outdoors

Vancouver is an outdoorsy city ranking among the world’s most livable, sheltered by Vancouver Island and the Pacific Range mountains. The most famous peak, Grouse Mountain, is a favorite spot for hiking and skiing. Take the cable car up for magnificent views of the city's skyscrapers and huge Stanley Park.

Skirting this park is the Seawall, a popular biking trail with paths passing the Vancouver Aquarium, picnic spots and a pitch and putt course. There are also a couple of beaches, but the best ones are along English Bay in Kitsilano.

Granville Island is just across False Creek from Yaletown and houses some quirky shops and markets. Ferries depart from here to near BC Place Stadium and home field of the city’s football and soccer teams. The legendary Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team play next door at Rogers Arena.

With the largest Chinatown in North America, Gastown is the oldest part of Vancouver and is near the Canada Place cruise ship terminal.

We could go on and on about British Columbia's biggest city, but we could never do it justice, so why not try it for yourself? Booking.com has a fabulous range of accommodations, from hotels near Vancouver Airport in Richmond to downtown B&Bs and motels near all of its ferry ports.

If you walk around with eyes and ears open you'll find so many things happening in this city. There's always a concert, another nice park or a open salsa dance event somewhere (those are almost everyday for example on Robson square or Kitsilano beach).

Day one we did a bike tour - great way to see around and discover areas that we wanted to further explore. So easy to get around, either walking or by tube. Sea bus was great fun to get to North Vancouver. Grouse Mountain was an amzing walk, we did the Grouse Grind and at the top there was the most delicious ice cream. We also did Lynn Canyon. Steamworks Brew Pub and Tap and Barrell were good places to eat.

Vancouver is a fabulous city with amazing scenery, beautiful beaches, and excellent food and drink. The city is compact and walkable or accessible by boat and public transit. There's so much to do, from walking and biking around Stanley Park, to the beaches, delicious Asian food, artisan coffee houses, stunning coastal scenery, and great hiking trails. We did all of the above. Whether you love the city or being out in nature, Vancouver has something for everyone.

Vancouver is a beautiful city with scenic beauty-even if it rains you can enjoy some activity happening here. Just be aware that many restaurants and shops close early. I managed to enjoy a Caribbean festivity, Steveston Boardwalk, Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, Bowen Island, Flyover at Canada place, walking along beaches like Jerico beach, Kitsilano beach. Variety of dining places !

Very centrally located hotel in downtown Vancouver with very kind staff. The rooms and facilities are clean and well cared for, though they show their age and feel a bit run down (ongoing renovation work will hopefully improve this). The stop for bus line 5 is right in front of the hotel entrance, offering an easy one-change connection to and from the airport via the Canada Line in about 35 minutes.

Great location within easy walking distance to all the sites in Downtown Vancouver. Easy to get to from the airport using the airport train then a short walk to the hotel (5 - 10 mins) I booked the budget room which was far cheaper than any other for the night and it was good value for money. The rooftop restaurant was great, bed was comfortable and clean, view was great, room was cleaned early every day. The best part of the hotel is its proximity to Vancouver's wonderful seawall and the water ferries crisscrossing the inlet. There are lots of cute places to eat or just have a coffee, very charming.
