Breakfast was excellent. The homemade bread was as good as I have ever had (sorry Mom). Our room was a little small but it served our purposes - clean, comfortable bed, good location. The staff, especially Ina, were great.

Great location for when you're visiting L'Anse aux Meadows. The room was cozy, but had 2 chairs, which is really important to us as readers. Also a fan, to run at night. Breakfast was served at a big table in the gathering area that had lots of comfy seating and great views. (Nice fluffy pancakes!) We slept very well. A very nice stay!

It was the added touches that made the cottage special, beautiful quilts on the bed and wall hangings above the bed. Lovely pictures and other things on display that made the room special. The tap water was not potable but Yvonne supplied us with a big bottle of water--just like all the residents of the area used. We cooked breakfast in our room. Kitchen was fully equipped. Couch very comfortable and the table was large.

LYn was an amazing host. He made us a wonderful breakfast of eggs, bacon & sausages every morning plus there was a big variety of fruit, breads, homemade jams and cereal that we could help ourselves to.His family has lived in the area for a long time so he could tell us places to see.

A very unique property in the old school The room was big clean and comfortable had everything you need and if it didn’t all you had to do was ask would definitely stay here again if we return We saw iceberg in the harbor when we pulled up and could see them from the property

We went to this remote community for a Blue Rodeo concert.

We went to this remote community for a Blue Rodeo concert. It was an unforgettable experience. The plp were so friendly and helpful. One of whom took us out cod jigging as well as a tour of the area. He cleaned and filleted our catch, stored it on ice for us and gave us more cod, scallops and duck. We toured Lance a Meadow as well as an ecological reserve where we saw whales while staying in St. Lunier. What a trip!! There are a few nice restaurants but all businesses have limited hours, it is a small remote area. But well worth the trip!!

I regret giving you only an 8 rating when actually, it was a really pleasant and memorable stay!! You deserve a 9.5 at least! Thank you for your kind response, you're doing a great job with your interesting property! We would stay there again and heartily recommend it to others who want a less run-of-the-mill place to stay! The town had the ONLY ice berg views of our whole 2 week road trip all over NL and the viking sites are nearby and well worth visiting!
