It was the added touches that made the cottage special, beautiful quilts on the bed and wall hangings above the bed. Lovely pictures and other things on display that made the room special. The tap water was not potable but Yvonne supplied us with a big bottle of water--just like all the residents of the area used. We cooked breakfast in our room. Kitchen was fully equipped. Couch very comfortable and the table was large.

LYn was an amazing host. He made us a wonderful breakfast of eggs, bacon & sausages every morning plus there was a big variety of fruit, breads, homemade jams and cereal that we could help ourselves to.His family has lived in the area for a long time so he could tell us places to see.

Great location for when you're visiting L'Anse aux Meadows. The room was cozy, but had 2 chairs, which is really important to us as readers. Also a fan, to run at night. Breakfast was served at a big table in the gathering area that had lots of comfy seating and great views. (Nice fluffy pancakes!) We slept very well. A very nice stay!

Breakfast was excellent. The homemade bread was as good as I have ever had (sorry Mom). Our room was a little small but it served our purposes - clean, comfortable bed, good location. The staff, especially Ina, were great.

We saw spectacular icebergs, there were so many We went to dinner twice at The Daily Catch that was recommended by the front desk staff. Incredible fresh sea food. The staff and service was outstanding and the views beautiful It was a short 20 minute drive just outside of St Anthony

L’Anse Aux Meadows was amazing. Ate at Lightkeepers Cafe.

L’Anse Aux Meadows was amazing. Ate at Lightkeepers Cafe. Authentic Newfoundland food. Very easy to see all attractions. AVOID accommodations at Wildberry Country Lodge B&B. Sadly photos on this site are not even close to authentic. Misleading is an understatement!

Accommodations we found in town at short notice was good.

Accommodations we found in town at short notice was good. Friendly, helpful folks. Grenfell centre has two jamb packed historic site. There are a variety of hiking trails. A couple of good eateries plus a cute little coffee place as well as a Timmy's. Northern Adventures Boat tour and visit to the Lighthouse were well worth the trip especially because there were icebergs and whales around. Amazing place.

Although bit out of town, it was a beautiful and quiet location, and was easy to access both St. Anthony and L'Anse aux Meadows. Also great location to explore many coves for iceberg viewing!! (In season). The lodge is so comfy and cozy, complete with fireplace in the main eating area/lounge. The offerings for breakfast was fantastic! Help yourself style, mostly. I would definitely stay there again.

The common room of the lodge felt authentic with a great view. The host provided us with an exceptional breakfast with everything you could want. He prepared the eggs and bacon/sausage himself and was very generous. Great way to start your day. Good location for driving to either L’Anse aux Meadows or St. Anthony.
