There was plenty space to hang out with 3 other long-time friends in an afternoon to get caught up on the last 38 years. There is no breakfast in the off season (clearly stated and with discounted rate), but there was a restaurant nearby that was great. The host was responsive to all questions. Check-in was smooth. I will look for this place over others should I return.

6 of us city dwellers drove from Vancouver in late November and had a fabulous stay in Owl Street Lodge. The check in process was easy, communication was brilliant - we asked for an earlier check in to which they happily accommodated. The decor was very cosy and cute! We had fun trying to count all the owls. Beds were comfy, and when it got down to -1 degrees we stayed toasty warm inside with the central heating that we could control. Kitchen had pots & pans and utensils, and we had a great time playing pool and listening to the old vinyl's on their record player. Thanks so much for a great stay, and at this price we all agreed we'd happily come back! :)

The Home dinner was excelent and just in the right place. Evergreen should have a somesort of deal with them - make a business deal to send guests their way providing they put in some sort of Canadian special dish like poutine on their menu - get repeat business.

The tunnels are well worth a visit, otherwise we found hope to be a quite little town. We would recommend a side trip to Fort Langley, which is a very pretty town and has a wonderful outdoor museum show casing a trading fort.

Hope is a small Canadian town.

Hope is a small Canadian town. It is located on the Fraser river, and close to the Coastal mountains. There are few intereseting hikes around the city, but overall it is just a small residential town. Many people just drive through with occasional stops. The city is famous, because in 1982 Rambo first blood was filmed there.

I have often stayed the night in Hope when travelling to and...

I have often stayed the night in Hope when travelling to and from Vancouver from northern BC when I’m making a short trip, as accommodations are significantly less expensive than those available of the same rating closer to Vancouver.

We only stayed in Hope overnight on our way to Vancouver but...

We only stayed in Hope overnight on our way to Vancouver but had also stopped there on our way driving out from Vancouver 4 weeks before. What we expected to be a small town which would just meet our travel needs turned out to be a beautiful village with real charm, surrounded by beautiful peaks. Lots to see here even when cold in Winter, but I also think it would be worth more time in Summer - beautiful river and the area is surrounded by lovely hikes, mountainbike trails, camping, fishing and walks. The many chainsaw-carved statues around the town and the beautiful central park (with squirrels) are worth the time to see. Great cafes.

Review of the Mountain View motel… stayed one night on our way to Okanagan Lake. It was Saturday night of Labor day weekend and due to unforeseen circumstances we needed to get a hotel room. Being a holiday there was not much available. We got the last room in Hope after no luck in the previous 2 towns. The rooms had been remodeled to a degree and what was done was nice but it still was a VERY tired property. My biggest complaint was the price. We had to pay $250. USD for a tired motor inn motel room worth about $70. USD. Which is about their normal rate. Charging $250. Is nothing short of price gouging.
