Beautiful and perfect.

Beautiful and perfect. Great eating places and drinking establishments. Picture perfect views from the many patios offered while eating outdoors. We are at a most delicious place called Mateus Bistro. Food was fresh, homemade and delicious with a quaint atmosphere

Mahone Bay is a pleasant town with great views of the water.

Mahone Bay is a pleasant town with great views of the water. There are quite a number of nice shops and it is easy to walk around. There is a public parking lot on the main road into the town. The three churches side by side as you drive in by the bay are the most recognizable landmarks. Mahone Bay is reasonably close to Lunenburg and Bridgewater so it is easy to tour the area.

Rebecca's restaurant was great but busy.

Rebecca's restaurant was great but busy. Fun area to walk around and the museum was interesting=a lot of history and my Uncle George used to live next door to the museum and built sailboats right across the street back in the 1960's. Area is known for sailboat building and has a long history connected to the sea. Shopping was great for my wife while I visited the boatyard.

This is an excellent place to relax and unwind, and explore other areas in NS South Shore/ lighthouse route (we particularly enjoyed spending time in Lunenburg -where we ate twice at the Half Shell restaurant, delicious!- and Queensland beach) Go for a pizza at Betty's, walk around the town and visit the nice little stores, and take a photo of the famous three churches.

The Village of Mahone Bay is so picturesque and very walkable. There are lovely shops, galleries and cafes. We stayed overnight on St. Patrick's Day and had a dinner reservation at the Mug & Anchor Pub. We had a lovely seafood dinner with an amazing view. There was an excellent 3 piece band of piano, guitar and lead vocals singing Irish, Scottish and Celtic songs as well as famous rock ballads from the seventies. It was a wonderful evening!

Store hours....not so great but if you were there longer than we were....it would have been fine.We had dinner at Rebecca's and that was magnificent. The streets are tight but that is because of how popular The Bay is....Just a sweet place to visit....over and over!!!!

Beautiful historic and character-filled home on scenic, quiet Hermans Island, 10 minute drive from Mahone Bay and 15 from Lunenburg. It was an ideal stay for our family gathering (extra appreciated that it was dog friendly). The house was much more spacious than expected based on the photos. We enjoyed watching the sailboats, birds, and deer from the porch and backyard, and making big meals in the modern kitchen. Note that the “abandoned pool” referenced in some older reviews has been removed and landscaped over. Would return.

The cottage was lovely with high end fixtures and appointments. It was well within walking distance to Mahone Bay. Our complaint was that aside from a fridge, there was no ability to prepare food. There was no bbq either. There should have been a small table and 2 chairs for sitting to eat. The cost did not warrant the facilities provided but I'm sure was set more because of the proximity to Mahone Bay.

Friendly welcome. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower pressure in the bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was not provided but bowls, plates, cutlery and some cooking equipment enabled us to cater for ourselves. The location was excellent, quiet but conveniently situated near to local restaurants and shops in Mahone Bay which is a very attractive little town.

The breakfast was excellent. The hosts were helpful with activity suggestions, and were very pleasant . I loved the location, and particularly the B &B property itself. It was very peaceful , quiet , and relaxing. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I was sad to leave. Mahone Bay is a great town.
